Is there a way in the Explorer to associate JPQL queries with query result windows?
I would really like to be able to open multiple query / result tabbed panes and be able to save out my queries, similar to what you can do in Benthic Golden or Toad in the SQL world.
Alternatively are you aware of any other JPA + JPQL workbench tools, commercial or otherwise that would support this?
Following your request (previously posted as a support ticket) now in ObjectDB version 2.6.2 the titles of Explorer query result windows show the query string. This is a small quick fix. It is not perfect (e.g. query parameters are not shown), but it should make it easier for you to open and view several query result windows.
We don't know about other general JPA/JPQL tools that are better than the ObjectDB Explorer. We have plans to improve the ObjectDB Explorer, including switching to a more modern tab based user interface, but this could take some time to be ready and there is no target date yet.
