Speed of queries that return many objects

Hi, I have a DB of 146MB - with 1_000_000 elements. Loading the contents (objectDB query in java) takes about 10sec. I am using a recent MacBook (SSD blabla - disk I/O speed is about 400MB/sec - according to blackMagicTest app for mac) - so I was expecting the query to take less than one sec (146/400 = 0.35sec.. + some overhead). I was wondering if this kind of speed is "normal", or if this is something I should investigate. Thanks EKK ... than you may expect and much slower than just reading the data from the disk. High availability and other pratical questions

Hi,   I've just started developing a mobile app which will use a server side, hopefully handling a lot of processing and traffic. I was inteding to use TomEE+ with built-in OpenJPA and Postgres DB, initially on one master server but as it grows more master servers will be set (in different geo locations/data centers) using some data sync mechanism between them.   Now that i've met ObjectDB I want to check the option using it instead of postgres so I have few questions regarding it: ... master servers will be set (in different geo locations/data centers) using some data sync mechanism between them.   ... block.
