Native ObjectDB Support for EnumSet ?

Greetings ObjectDB team, Are embedded EnumSet objects faster to query than normal classes ? Does JPA/JDO offer native support to filter persistent objects by an EnumSet field's multi values ? For example: WHERE o.es == ES.A | ES.B | ES.C Thank you !... you will not be able to see the enum set values in the Explorer (but you can instantiate it as EnumSet<MyEnum> ). ...

Guestbook Tutorial (Eclipse/Glassfish)

I have the tutorial working which has been a great help in understanding how to use ObjectDB. I have found one problem. The database file (C:\glassfish3.1\glassfishv3\glassfish\domains\domain1\eclipseApps\Guestbook\WEB-INF\db\guests.odb) is reset on occasions; I am not sure what set of events causes this. I can enter a number of entries, stop Glassfish, use the Object Explorer to view the objects. At some point, may be when restarting Glassfish or re-publishing the application, the database is empty. Any help would be much appreciated. ... enter a number of entries, stop Glassfish, use the Object Explorer to view the objects. At some point, may be when restarting Glassfish ...

UPDATE query to set a new field after schema change

I've added a new property/field to one of my objects and want to set the value of this (boolean) property to false for all existing entities in the DB. I tried to execute an update statement with the Explorer tool. The statement ends and tells me that 1000 entities have been updated. I then save the changes to the DB via file->save. But when I execute a select on the DB I see that the field is still "null" for all instances. How do I initialize the field? ... I tried to execute an update statement with the Explorer tool. @ElementCollection Set<Integer> is emptied sometimes

Hi! I'm facing a really strange behavior, which I can't yet reproduce, but it happened 3-4 times already. ObjectDB seems to clear some fields that are @ElementCollection Set<Integer> of my objects. They appear HashSet<Integer> in ObjectDB Explorer. The only common thing I've seen is that this MAY happen when schema changes, even though nothing is changed in that Object's class. Any ideas why would this happen and how could it be avoided? Thanks (version 2.5.3 & Tomee & NetBeans) ... my objects. They appear HashSet<Integer> in ObjectDB Explorer. Error in reading Enum in JPA - Failed to read using reflection

I have created a very simple Entity User which has an enum Status (INACTIVE, ACTIVE). When an entity User is created, everything looks OK and I have seen on explorer that User is created as expected with valid values of Status. This is all done with JPA/EJBs. However, at the time of reading the Object (findById), the system throws an error  com.objectdb.o.UserException: Failed to read the value of field com.xxx.User.status using reflection caused by.. ...
