Persisting collection where members are subclasses

OK, I have a number of classes which are all subclasses of Entry (e.g., Folder, Link, Book). In the Folder class, there is a @OneToMany Map<String, Entry> children If I store something in that map which is an Entry, then I can persist just fine. But if I try to put any of the subclasses into the map, then I get  #1 2012-03-19 23:00 OK, I have a number of classes which are all subclasses of Entry (e.g., Folder, Link, Book). GlassFish 3.1.2.2/JBoss 7.1.1

Good day, We have few troubles with GlassFish on @remote. When we wants to get entity from remote interface, but in the result we have null in all entity fields. As I see there is a GlassFish problem (http://www.java.net/forum/topic/glassfish/glassfish/cant-return-entity-ejbs-remote-ejb). May be you have some ideas?  When we just try JBoss 7.1.1 nothing works at all. When I get a real world objectdb deployment example?    Thanks.  #1 2012-08-02 07:59 Good day, We have few troubles with GlassFish on @remote. When we wants to get entity from remote interfa ...

javax.persistence.PersistenceException: No Persistence provider for EntityManager named in Karaf 4.0.7 and OSGi DS test

Hello, I've written a small OSGi Declarative Services application to run in Apache Karaf 4.0.7 to persist an entity into an ObjectDB database. I'm working in C/S model and I have both the ObjectDB server and Karaf running on localhost. When I try to persist the entity I'm getting the  javax.persistence.PersistenceException: No Persistence provider for EntityManager named objectdb://localhost:6136/technolink.odb;user=admin;password=admin exception in the Karaf log. ... the runtime, request a reference to the Factory and not having to worry about where it is coming from. Safe Settings

Hi, I am trying to set up ObjectDb in a safe way that allows turning the machine off while database transactions are running. I would like to test if things are really safe and if I don't get corrupted database files in any possible case. I found "recovery" and "recording" in the objectdb.conf file. Which one is safer to use? I suppose I should turn on sync="true", right? #1 2011-03-28 16:05 Hi, I am trying to set up ObjectDb in a safe way that allows turning the machine off while database trans ...

performance limit

Hi, can someone share expirience with performance limits of ObjectDB especialy when quering tables with large records sets. Our issue is with tables with 100.000+ records. Everything was OK when we had few thousand records. We have a simple SELECT statement which selects from a table with 100.000+ records by UserID atribute, tables have from 5 to 20 atributes. Usualy the results range from few hundred to few thousand records. This query takes up to 12 seconds. Is this normal, what when we will have few milion records, how to handle this. #1 2014-09-09 21:33 Hi, can someone share expirience with performance limits of ObjectDB especialy when quering tables with large rec ...

Unexpected internal exception during set field of an Embeddable to null

Hello, we get an Unexpected internal exception and have no idea what goes wrong. We can reproduce (mostly) the error in a very big use case. In the big use case and we create and persist millions of SignalValueImpl objects (Embeddables). Partly as in the stack trace an Embeddable contain another Embeddable. It seems like that we can't reproduce the problem in smaller use cases with less objects.
