Optimization Question

One of our uses for your ObjectDB software is in maintaining the current state of a large number of data objects called tracks. These tracks change very frequently over time (every 10-15 seconds is not unreasonable), but they are also very large complex data structures so it's extremely difficult to identify exactly what fields have changed from one update to the next. Currently the following sequence executes when a track update comes in: - If it’s a new track simply add it to the database. #1 2010-06-16 15:41 One of our uses for your ObjectDB software is in maintaining the current state of a large number of data objects cal ...

Mapped By Fetch is very Slow

Well ! I think i pointed out a HUGE performance issue with mapped-by attribute (yeah again :( ). Here is the test case : 1- Create 100 000 entities with for each 1 entity with @OneToOne(mappedBy attribute) 2- Retrieve only 10 000 for testing 3- Wait ... ( Note : The left join index pb still exists, i will test your optimisation disabled latter ) ... no need in this additional query. Setting an index on the owner side of the relationship ( MyEntityChild.myEntity ) may ...

Greetings ObjectDB team, Suppose I have a collection typed field (list/map/set...) in my persistent object of class X. Can I navigate (as oppose to using JOIN) to individual elements (in JPA & JDO) ? e.g.: x.list.get(10) x.map.get("key") x.list.get(10).get("key") // the element itself is a map Thanks & Best Regards #1 2010-09-15 05:53 Greetings ObjectDB team, Suppose I have a collection typed field (list/map/set...) in my persistent& ...
