Vs. EHCache

Hi, I realize this is kind of like an apples vs. oranges comparison, but I would be interested if you have any performance information vs. something like ehcache with a persistent store. I'm currently evaluating for a simple schema to persist only 1 or 2 types of entities (but possibly 10k-100k instances) with simple index based queries which imagine both products could probably solve.... of entities (but possibly 10k-100k instances) with simple index based queries which imagine both products could probably solve. ...

InternalException using 2.3.7_12

Sorry can't shed any light on this, other than the code where this came out of, worked fine with 2.3.7_02. Pessimistic Lock Timeouts setting

Hi,   I realise that JPA2 doesn't necessarily define a standard API way for Lock Timeouts. However, there is a standardised query 'hint' that can be setup to make the underlying DB lock a record for a specific time. The hint property is: "javax.persistence.lock.timeout" ... counter (which is used to track separate customers product index) - and my test case is failing here. The issue is that once the ...

How to convert a boolean to an int in the query?

How to convert a boolean to an int in the query? I have five parameters of type boolean in the entity object - approveEmail, approvePhoneNumper, ... I want to sort them in the query by their sum ORDER BY (approveEmail + approvePhoneNumper + ... ) But I get an exception com.objectdb.o._PersistenceException: Invalid operand type boolean for operator + ... field would be much more efficient (you can also use an index on that field to improve performance), and this solution is available ...

Connection performace after upgrade to objectdb 2

Hi, I have a problem with objectdb 2 when I tried to get the PersistenceManagerFactory and PersistenceManager : In objectdb 1 : PersistenceManagerFactory pmf = JDOHelper.getPersistenceManagerFactory(getProperties(physicalPath, objectName), JDOHelper.class.getClassLoader()); takes only 3ms PersistenceManager pm = pmf.getPersistenceManager(); takes 40ms However, with objectdb 2, the same instructions take respectively : 257ms and 238ms which is very expensive. #1 2012-12-10 17:32 Hi, I have performance problems with objectdb 2 when I tried to get the PersistenceManagerFactory and Per ...
