Server closes if large query runs out of memory

We are using ObjectDB in production, and have found what we thing to be a serious problem:  the objectdb server can run out of memory and stop if a query deals with too many objects. This isn't the behaviour we expected for a product that we want to use to deliver 24/7 high-volume data collection. ObjectDB surely has some idea of the sizes of objects that it persists and retrieves, and so should be able to fail safely if it finds too many objects being retrieved to fit into memory. There must be some alternative to crashing! ... Avoid overflow of published source code examples by breaking long lines . Server crash - Mismatch client-server protocol prefix

We've been having a problem where our ObjectDB server goes unresponsive every 2 days or so.  I've reviewed the server-side logs, and there are no events logged shortly before the crash.  Once the server gets in this state, it is unresponsive to bin/server.sh restart; I have had to reboot the entire server on which it's running.  The only recorded symptom is a client-side error (which fortunately gets auto-mailed to me): ... at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:679) Caused by: com.objectdb.o.UserException: Mismatch client-server protocol prefix ... Explorer in 2.3

First, the new Explorer in ObjectDB is fantastic! This is exactly what we've needed - an easy way to do ad-hoc JPQL queries and navigate through the results and even make small changes to primitive data and Strings. JVM crash when using IBM JDK 1.6.0

The FAQ states in the system requirements only that a JDK/JRE 1.5 or 1.6(prefered) is required. When I try to use the IBM JDK 1.6.0 I get a GPF exception while creating the entity manager. Problem on JPA Merge Entity.

Hello, I have a problem with the EntityManager.merge() function. I set a property value of an entity (statement) with an other entity (newSingleConstraint). newSingleValue is already persisted.
