PersistenceException: Failed to locate field

Hi, have recently been running into this issue when changing the schema: com.objectdb.o._PersistenceException: Failed to locate field in this case, adding a primitive String field to an Entity. pretty sure that in the past schema evolution would not have triggered errors, is this case, a simple new field, shouldn't the policy be to add a null in that field, or other default for that primitive. ... lines (e.g. Java code , stack trace ) - select a style in the toolbar and then insert the text in the new created ...

Class loading problem with private packages in OSGi environment

Our Business Objects are the JPA entities. We develop our product domain driven. This means we have several domains. Each domain is split into business layer and persistence layer (others are not relevant here). Per domain and per layer, we have an OSGI bundles. The business layer should have no dependency down (an exception is the dependency to the ObjectDB for the enhanced entities).  The persistence Layers have a dependency to the business layer and to the central DataAccess Layer.... lines (e.g. Java code , stack trace ) - select a style in the toolbar and then insert the text in the new created ...

Database Inconsistency or corruption

Hi, since a week I have been trying to find a solution to a strange problem. We are using ObjectDB 2.6.8_02 im embedded mode. The problem is that data gets lost when updating an entity. 1-) Background Consider Three entities: ObjectValue, Attribute and Value. ObjectValue has a one to many relationship to Attribute and Attribute has a one to one relationship to Value. ... lines (e.g. Java code , stack trace ) - select a style in the toolbar and then insert the text in the new created ...

Out of Memory - Slow leak?

This is a continutaion of Issue 61 - unfortunately it doesnt seem that the fix in 2.2.9_03 has fixed the problem. The scenario is still the same: I have two "producer" processes which insert messages into an objectdb "queue" database running with an objectdb server process. I have one "consumer" process which reads messages from the queue database and inserts these into an embedded "normal" objectdb database. This is the process which has generated the OOM exception. ... lines (e.g. Java code , stack trace ) - select a style in the toolbar and then insert the text in the new created ...

Insertion Speed Rate and Batch Load

1. I got about 10K inserts / second, is it normal? I would expect more than that, like close to 100K/second. I can definitely do 80K inserts/seconds on Oracle with batch insert on table with one primary key. 2. Is batch update/insert operation supported? I attached the files. ... lines (e.g. Java code , stack trace ) - select a style in the toolbar and then insert the text in the new created ...

Pessimistic Lock Timeouts setting

Hi,   I realise that JPA2 doesn't necessarily define a standard API way for Lock Timeouts. However, there is a standardised query 'hint' that can be setup to make the underlying DB lock a record for a specific time. The hint property is: "javax.persistence.lock.timeout" ... lines (e.g. Java code , stack trace ) - select a style in the toolbar and then insert the text in the new created ...

Connection is closed Caused by: java.io.EOFException

I am getting this exception on a regular basis, after a period of time of repeating the same code execution.  I don't understand why.  I restart the DB server and my code works again for another period of time until same exception is encountered again.  I cannot pin down a pattern e.g. after a certain period of time,  because the time  periods between exceptions are not regular, although frequent.  Any test case  I use will pass most of the time but will fail after an undetermined period. ... lines (e.g. Java code , stack trace ) - select a style in the toolbar and then insert the text in the new created ...
