How Should I Configure objectdb.conf to Obtain 256KB Disk IO Requests and Maximize Shared PersistenceManager Entity Cache?

These are questions asked in the context of the proposed architecture described in the forum thread titled, "Sample JDO Architecture for Follow Up Questions".   I tried to configure my objectdb.conf to give 256KB disk accesses and use PersistenceManager L1 ref=soft caching and datastore pagefile caching 1 MB (4 256KB sized pages).  The goal is to have frequent PersistenceManager L1 cache hit, then less frequent datastore pagefile cache hit, then when absolutely necessary, read/write from/to the disk, but in a 256 KB sized IO packets. #1 2016-07-25 15:52 These are questions asked in the context of the proposed architecture described in the forum thread titled, "Samp ...

Exceeding max connections and crashing

Hi, we have severe problems with ObjectDB crashing frequently. We can’t find the exact cause but we suspect several things. We use 2.5.3_03 version and we use it in production. The same setup in test environment hasn’t have these kind of problems First crash occurred when network went down and database lost connection with the JBOSS AS, several restarts got it up and running finally.  It seems when the database loses network connection it shutdowns but we cant be sure. Usualy database stops once a day with no apperent reason. ... see how many connections are active on ObjectDB. When we set logging to one of logging levels log doesn’t show anything. 2. We ...

Transaction isolation support?

I am looking at using ObjectDB for our new project, and its looking good so far. But I have been unable to find any documentation about how transaction isolation is handled. For example: What happens If I am reading data in transaction A, and then transaction B commits while A is reading. (Especially if using LAZY fetch sub object). Do I always just get the list of objects as it looks when the fetch start? Martin   #1 2013-04-14 13:16 I am looking at using ObjectDB for our new project, and its looking good so far.
