Mapped By Fetch is very Slow

Well ! I think i pointed out a HUGE performance issue with mapped-by attribute (yeah again :( ). Here is the test case : 1- Create 100 000 entities with for each 1 entity with @OneToOne(mappedBy attribute) 2- Retrieve only 10 000 for testing 3- Wait ... On my AMD FX 8350, it took 60s Now, go the MyEntity class and remove "mapped-by". You obtain 1 second max of query fetch. #1 2015-06-19 11:05 Well ! Different behavior with persist() and queried instances?

Hi, We have a simple class that by itself contains (among others) a property pointing to a collection: class Bla {  @OneToMany(cascade = CascadeType.ALL) private List<AttributeEntity> metaAttributes = new ArrayList<AttributeEntity>(); } ...   -> FAIL, the list of the object is still set to empty in db eventhough it is filled Btw the list's type in ...

Spring Transactions (@Transactional) within ObjectDB

Hi, We are using OBD with Spring and transactions are managed by Spring. Our spring service interfaces take list of objects and persist them and the interface service is marked as @Transactional. We iterate through the list apply business validations and persist them one by one in a loop. ( Using Spring Data) We have noticed that in a loop 1st object is persisted and then we if lookup the same object we don't get it back on lookup. #1 2013-08-26 07:54 Hi, We are using OBD with Spring and transactions are managed by Spring. How Should I Configure objectdb.conf to Obtain 256KB Disk IO Requests and Maximize Shared PersistenceManager Entity Cache?

These are questions asked in the context of the proposed architecture described in the forum thread titled, "Sample JDO Architecture for Follow Up Questions".   I tried to configure my objectdb.conf to give 256KB disk accesses and use PersistenceManager L1 ref=soft caching and datastore pagefile caching 1 MB (4 256KB sized pages).  The goal is to have frequent PersistenceManager L1 cache hit, then less frequent datastore pagefile cache hit, then when absolutely necessary, read/write from/to the disk, but in a 256 KB sized IO packets. #1 2016-07-25 15:52 These are questions asked in the context of the proposed architecture described in the forum thread titled, "Samp ...
