Objectdb recovery

Hello, I have question regarding objectdb recovery when objectdb is not finished correctly (power outage). We are using following configuration: <recovery enabled="true" sync="false" path="." max="128mb"/> <recording enabled="false" sync="false" path="." mode="write"/> Is there any possibility of data loss when power outage? ... sync = "false" path = "." mode = "write" / > Is there any possibility of data loss when power ...

ObjectDB 2 JDO Manual

The new ObjectDB Manual describes how to use ObjectDB 2 with JPA. An additional manual that focuses on using ObjectDB 2 with JDO can help JDO users. But since writing a new manual and then maintaining two similar manuals, one for JPA and the other for JDO requires sufficient effort, this will be done only if there is sufficient demand.   Documentation Version: 1.04 Priority: Normal Status: Active Replies: 8 Type:  Documentation ...

Replaying recorded requests...

Hi, I get the following when ODB starts in embedded mode: Replaying recorded requests... then I get something like 500 lines of recordset information. in-memory and on-disk support?

I've had a quick read through the features/FAQ and haven't been able to find a clear answer. I'm looking at replacing a setup of H2 where I have 40GB in-memory backed by 800GB on-disk, the 40GB in memory represents the first 40GB of the 800GB on-disk for super-fast recent entry searching, the records at the end continuously purge as the new ones come in(duplicate write, one to in-memory and one to on-disk). ... end continuously purge as the new ones come in(duplicate write, one to in-memory and one to on-disk). Iterating over large result set

Hi, Few days ago I was writing some code to iterate over quite a large dataset. Fitting those data in memory was quite a challenge even with 3GB heap space. So I did paging using two loops. #1 2012-05-15 15:36 Hi, Few days ago I was writing some code to iterate over quite a large dataset. Fitting those data in mem ...

Persistent domain in Scala or Java...

Hi Folks, I am starting a new project which will be primarily written in Scala.  I need to choose a persistence mechanism for the domain model.  I have the option to write the domain in Java if that provides access to richer transparent persistence support. My preference would be JPA.  Are there strong JPA-like libraries for Scala, or should I be considering Scala-specific persistence or using Java for the domain to take advantage of JPA / ObjectDB etc. All input greatly appreciated, Kind regards, Robin. ... mechanism for the domain model.  I have the option to write the domain in Java if that provides access to richer transparent ...

Large query parameter - out of memory

I have an entity object composed of an id, large data in the form of a string and the hashcode of the string as an index. The attached test saves 2000 of these objects, writing the data to a txt file as it goes. It then loops through the data from the file and queries for the entity id based on the data hashcode and the data itself. Bug Version: Priority: Normal Status: Fixed Replies: 1 Type:  Bug ...

Remove a modified entity cause an optimistic lock exception

Hello, the following examples load and modify an entity, and load and remove the same entity. The first example 'SetAndRemoveIssue.java' is a simple java program which executes without errors. The second example is an OSGi program which fails with an optimistic lock exception. Both examples are equivalent, please execute SetAndRemoveIssue.java (in the OSGi example as a plugin-test). Can you explain the optimistic lock exception? #1 2015-11-09 07:46 Hello, the following examples load and modify an entity, and load and remove the same entity. The ...

How Should I Configure objectdb.conf to Obtain 256KB Disk IO Requests and Maximize Shared PersistenceManager Entity Cache?

These are questions asked in the context of the proposed architecture described in the forum thread titled, "Sample JDO Architecture for Follow Up Questions".   I tried to configure my objectdb.conf to give 256KB disk accesses and use PersistenceManager L1 ref=soft caching and datastore pagefile caching 1 MB (4 256KB sized pages).  The goal is to have frequent PersistenceManager L1 cache hit, then less frequent datastore pagefile cache hit, then when absolutely necessary, read/write from/to the disk, but in a 256 KB sized IO packets. ... pagefile cache hit, then when absolutely necessary, read/write from/to the disk, but in a 256 KB sized IO packets.
