Changes in detach behaviour?

Hello! Today i upgraded to 2.3.5_04. My program stopped working. After some debugging i found out that all fields of retrieved objects are on their default value till i first call a getter or detach them explicitly. Up to 2.3.4 they where initialized immediately. The problem in my case is that i have a Spring DAO. It does the following: I call for example getUserByName("blub). #1 2011-12-28 10:31 Hello! Today i upgraded to 2.3.5_04. Question about overriding default equals and hashcode

Hello Support, I have overrided equals and hashcode method in my entities beans. I don't know if you use these methods in your objectdb implementation. ( for comparing bean ? ) If yes, does it have an impact on performance of database ? Cast exception?

Somehow I am unable to persist an entity class I wrote with manual @Id. I have a small Player class and I wish to store it with user ID as the primary key. So I declared the (only) primary key field as: @Id public int uid; This is how I'm persisting the instance: #1 2014-06-02 19:13 I'm getting a weird exception: java.lang.ClassCastException: database.entity.Player cannot be cast to d ...

Configuration and Activation Code in ObjectDB 2.x

Hi ,   I would like to update the ObjectDB from 1.0 to 2.3.7_25. I used the License key for activating the odbee.jar file and got the activation code.It is mentioned in the side that i need to use the activation code using <activation> tag in the objectdb.conf file. In 1.x objectDB, we are not using any objectDB.conf file, we are just using setProperty method to set the different property e.g. properties.setProperty("javax.jdo.PersistenceManagerFactoryClass","com.objectdb.jdo.PMF"); #1 2012-05-16 14:58 Hi, I would like to update the ObjectDB from 1.0 to 2.3.7_25. Using of Second Level Cache

In our use case we want to find some entity types always again very quickly by primary key or query in many short transactions. The entity MyEntity1 and its relationships to MyEntity2/MyEntity3 was load and the entity MyEntity1 is taken in the second level cache, the other entity types not. Are the relationships to MyEntity2/MyEntity3 still always referenced although the entity manager is closed, so that the memory for MyEntity2 and MyEntity3 can never be released by garbage collector? #1 2016-06-22 08:04 In our use case we want to find some entity types always again very quickly by primary key or query in many short ...

NPE on em.createQuery(query).getResultList()

(JPA2 support getting better but still not quite there, excellent progress regardless). Allow removal of entity class from ObjectDB & Explorer

Hi. It would be very useful to be able to delete an entire entity class from ObjectDB, but especially from Explorer. This is very useful for everyone, but also for clients that don't own a license, thus they're limited to 10 entities / db. During the life time of a software, many changes appear to its data structure. When an entity class becomes unnecessary, we should be able to remove it, thus to get space for another one.
