File lock exception on odb$

Not sure if this is an objectdb issue or not but I thought I'd raise it just in case. We had a server failure which caused an unexpected reboot. As a result, the application services which use objectdb were not shutdown properly which in turn meant we had several odb$ files left behind. I had assumed that objectdb would reprocess these when the services restarted but instead we got the exception below. Bug Version: 2.3.7 Priority: Normal Status: Fixed Replies: 7 Type:  Bug ...

OEM: Too many persistable types (>10) - exceeds evaluation limit (error 1011)

I might also be seeing a failure of my OEM license when using ObjectDB 2.7.2_03. ObjectDB Enhancer Tool in Java 9

I am migrating to Java 9 and have encountered some issues, which I am sure will eventually be addressed by a Java 9 compatible ObjectDB future release, but while waiting for that release, perhaps you could give some advice for my current issues. Firstly, I created my own ObjectDB module.  I try to run com.objectdb.Enhancer from that module, but ObjectDB gives the error below.  My guess is the error is because ObjectDB is trying to detect its objectdb.home location by looking at its objectdb.jar location, which is not valid in a Java module environment. #1 2017-10-07 19:52 I am migrating to Java 9 and have encountered some issues, which I am sure will eventually be addressed by a Java ...

Query vs Extent for retrieving data

I'm running into a problem where data that is retrieved via a Query comes out null, but when I retrieve it using an Extent everything is present. We have a very simple class: public class PositionReportManagerBean implements InstanceCallbacks { private int maxReports; private List<PositionReportBean> reports; } I have a test file with 5 instances of PositionReportManagerBean, each with maxReports set to 10 and 5 PositionReportBeans in reports. I can verify with the ObjectDB explorer that all of the data is there. If I call #1 2011-12-13 23:17 I'm running into a problem where data that is retrieved via a Query comes out null, but when I retrieve it us ...

in-memory and on-disk support?

I've had a quick read through the features/FAQ and haven't been able to find a clear answer. I'm looking at replacing a setup of H2 where I have 40GB in-memory backed by 800GB on-disk, the 40GB in memory represents the first 40GB of the 800GB on-disk for super-fast recent entry searching, the records at the end continuously purge as the new ones come in(duplicate write, one to in-memory and one to on-disk). #1 2011-04-02 11:02 I've had a quick read through the features/FAQ and haven't been able to find a clear answer.
