Time Sequence Object Command DB

We (www.s2ssystems.com) have a time-sequential object command database.  I would like to see if it can be built and run efficiently on ObjectDB.   The requirements that drive the design of this database are: ... . There should be a one-to-many relationship between  Transaction and Command . Every Transaction ...

Querying error - java.lang.ClassCastException: com.objectdb.o.STV

I'm getting the ClassCastException below when querying objects. As yet I haven't been able to track down the exact circumstance in which it occurs - saving and querying objects works fine on attempts to recreate - but presumably at some point an object gets saved which objectdb doesn't like. Any pointers as to what is wrong or approaches to investigate further would be much appreciated. ... page. As example (like in the attached example): We have an EntityA that have a reference to an EntityB. ... id) rather than just an id. Merge on detached entities

Hello, it is possible to merge detached entities? There are some attached entities which load from the database. The transaction is finished and the entities become detached. In a new transaction the fields of the detached entities will be changed and a merge by em.merge(entity) will be saved the entities. Can this works correctly? How are the rules of the merge process? Do the changed fields of the detached entity overwrite the fields in the database? Also changed fields which are set to null? ... by ObjectDB anymore, so ObjectDB cannot distinguish between loaded and unloaded fields in these detached objects. ...

A few questions on object database design

I've been trying to model a database that stores data in an MMORPG. With ObjectDB, a lot of things are easier to perform. Intuitively, I created an entity class called player and stored everything about the player as embeddable classes. However, my colleague questions about this structure, since we would be looking at persisting data from the server every minute or two per player. He has stability issues with the ObjectDB if we are accessing the same table all the time.... represents the activity of your application. Switching between entity classes and embeddable classes is easy, so if you already have ...
