Group by date / time

Hi, I'm trying to create reporting query that will return entities grouped by year / mont / day. Each entity has it's own field that holds java.lang.Date. There is no function like YEAR(), MONTH() or DAY() in ODB. Inefficient memory usage with very large transactions

When a large transaction is committed, ObjectDB increases some internal structures, i.e. allocates more memory, but from that point the structures remain big and the memory is not released even if all the next transactions are small. This problem was found during a heap analysis (see #9 in this forum thread), and was fixed in build 2.4.3_02, but the fix was removed later in build 2.4.3_03 because it caused other problems (#10, #11 in that forum thread). ... can't get HashMap out of the database

I'm trying to persist an Entity containing a HashMap. It stores the data in the database OK, but the map is always empty when I get the entity out of the database again. I've reproduced this problem in a simple variation of the Guestbook tutorial: Guest class: ===================== ... thread . Redeployment in GlassFish - Failed to open file

Hi. I am facing a problem with the redeployment of the application in GlassFish. I can deploy my application in GlassFish for the first time and it works. Once I need to redeploy it after making some changes in the source codes, the following errors come up in the GlassFish Log. It seems that the database file is still in use. I have highlighted the cause by red color. How I can release the database file for redeployment?
