Bidirectional OneToMany is slow on updated items

Hello, I have a problem with the following situation. I insert persons with addresses. In the first run, they are all new with a new address. It runs fast. In the second run, the persons are all loaded and got a second address. This seams to be much slower. The Entities are all enhanced by the javaagent (which you can see in the contained eclipse launch configuration) Is there any way to speed it up?       ... two foreign keys, or not? Is there a way, not to change the code. Instead set a property to force objectdb to handle all ...

Online Backup

Online Backup enables backing up an ObjectDB database while it is in active use by applications. The ability to create a backup while the system is running is essential in applications and services that have to be available 24/7/365. An ObjectDB database can be backed up by simply copying or archiving the database file while the database is offline (i.e. when it is not open in an ObjectDB server and not in use by any application), since an ObjectDB database is stored as an o ...

Empty query results after JAR creation

Hi, I struggle with a strange issue. I've embedded ObjectDB in a small application to query cases. Within Netbeans everything works fine but when I create a  JAR File and executed via "Java -Jar xyz.jar", I get either empty results or on some cases a "NoResultException" which appears to report the same issue. I've created a small test case (attached zip file) with sample DB to reproduce the issue.  #1 2012-04-24 04:03 Hi, I struggle with a strange issue. LEFT JOIN FETCH over empty embedded collection returns no results

First of all, thank you for promptly implementing JOIN FETCH over nested paths in response to my inquiry a few months ago. However, I have run into one problem: if an embedded collection is empty, but I attempt to LEFT JOIN FETCH all the members of a collection within a (non-existent) member of the first collection, the result of the overall query is an empty set. To use the example from my original post: @Embeddable class A { String val; };   ... in the path.  Please try build 2.5.0_06 that should change this behavior. ObjectDB Support ObjectDB ...

Problem with distinct select, order by and equivalent alias/attribute path

Hi, while working with a (standard-)JPA-query generating framework we run into an exception when ordering the results of some projection when the order by expression is different (though logically equivalent) to the projection expression. Here is the example: ... by the library user (the developer). Maybe you can change your query building to produce a different query? ... it seems to make no difference in the resulting query if I change the construction of the QueryDSL-expressions and the order by clause is ...
