500Mb ObjectDb database opening issue

Hi, I have observed that 500 Mb objectDb database opening time is very slow (~3 seconds) for following code m_EntityMgrFactory = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory( "objectdb:" + aFilename ); m_EntityManager = m_EntityMgrFactory.createEntityManager(); Does exist any way to speed-up open time for big databases? Definitely, it's too long for 500 Mb database! ... following simple test (with your persistent classes in the classpath): import javax. persistence . *;   public ...

Queries are slow on a large database

Hi, I have a 12GB database with 787603 entries. It is much larger than usual and there are performances issues. I am doing small queries and they take much longer than I expect, i.e.: Get the total number of entries Get 25 consecutive entries (i.e. 0-25) Get one specific entry On average each query needs 4 to 5 minutes to return a result. I have been adviced to use indexes but they are already used through the JDO Metadata file. For instance I use this class: ... and the XML metadata are in the correct location in the classpath it should also work, but it could be missed easily. Just putting the ...

Explorer in 2.3

First, the new Explorer in ObjectDB is fantastic! This is exactly what we've needed - an easy way to do ad-hoc JPQL queries and navigate through the results and even make small changes to primitive data and Strings. After playing with it for a while, here is a list of additional features I'd love to have: 1. Export of selected data: a. Simple - Select a range of cells or a column header and copy text to the clipboard or save to a file (csv, html, etc..). (There appear to be copy menu options, but I cannot get them to work.) ... your own static methods you have to run the Explorer with classpath that contains your classes.
