Eager load Map

I'm having an issue eager loading a nested map. I've attached @ManyToMany(fetch=FetchType.EAGER) attributes to no avail. If the map is viewed in the debugger or force iterated in the code it loads ok. The attached code attempts to replicate the scenario. Its not an exact match but is the best I could come up with without replicating the whole system. The test creates an object, persists it to a db and re-loads it. The EntityManager is closed before accesing any fields. Finally the nested map is accessed and printed to screen. Bug Version: Priority: Normal Status: Fixed Replies: 7 Type:  Bug ...

Objectdb Doctor

Hi, I have deleted an instance of ClassA. However, if I try to access ClassB, which has a field of type ClassA, ClassB.classA, then, rather than getting a null pointer for classB.classA, I get an enormous exception. How does the ObjectDB Doctor help?  ... the databases - it is the application responsibility to clear any references to them from other objects in the database (except ...

Which storage fits best to ObjectDB?

Hi, we are just about to put together a new server for our applications using ObjectDB (v 2.6). We have a dilemma about the storage holding the ObjectDB files: if to invest in a mirrored RAID of SSDs which is clearly the ultimate solution but it quite pricey, or to choose a RAID5/6 of 7200 RPM HDDs. #1 2015-03-09 07:39 Hi, we are just about to put together a new server for our applications using ObjectDB (v 2.6). Unexpected NoSuchFieldError exception

InternalError on query of empty database

Hi, I have reasons for sometimes trying to query the database before anything has been created. The problem is the database throws a InternalException when that happens. Is it possible to throw something that identifies that that is the issue, say something like "MissingSchemaException", ie something that clearly shows its because no data of that type has been added? This just makes the exception catching cleaner. Thought thinking about it, it probably needs to be a JPA exception, maybe something like javax.persistence.EntityNotFoundException? #1 2011-07-21 01:39 Hi, I have reasons for sometimes trying to query the database before anything has been created. Is it possible to commit only specific elements?

Hello, As stated above, I would like to know if it is possible to commit only specific elements, or at least update a single table, disregarding the other entities loaded in the persistency context? I have a complex hierarchy of intertwined objects. Currently I am clearing my persistency context, retrieving only the needed ones, creating new ones (which I want to commit), detaching the ones I've previously retrieved and finally committing. My context is big data and performance is an issue.      #1 2015-07-24 11:13 Hello, As stated above, I would like to know if it is possible to commit only specific elements, or at le ...

Memory leak while merging parent with No Cascade annotation with children

Hello support, While tracking memory leak in my application i suspected a memory leak in the merging object db implementation. The test case is the following, just run and watch the "Memory Used" by comparing Cascade.ALL (or Cascade.MERGE ) to nothing. Tested with last version of Object Db ( 2.5.5_05 ) ... ) . commit ( ) ; em. clear ( ) ; em. close ( ) ; ...
