Grouping by date()

Hi, For some time now we can use date and time function in queries to extract part of date time (from documentation): YEAR({d '2011-12-31'}) is evaluated to 2011. MONTH({d '2011-12-31'}) is evaluated to 12. DAY({d '2011-12-31'}) is evaluated to 31. HOUR({t '23:59:00'}) is evaluated to 23. MINUTE({t '23:59:00'}) is evaluated to 59. SECOND({t '23:59:00'}) is evaluated to 0. ... edit delete lwalkowski ... edit delete support ...

ClassCastException of same object type

I have ObjectDB partially working with my project. At the moment it seems to be saving objects and retrieving objects ok in the main project. However, when I make a plugin for the project, the new objects are persisted but not retrieved. I get the following error: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.sportscoring.ssv.xc.core.XCCompetitorCount cannot be cast to org.sportscoring.ssv.xc.core.XCCompetitorCount ... edit delete cmahony ... edit delete cmahony ...

Vacuum - Reclaiming Unused Space In Odb

I was curious if you could assist me with a challenge we are having with our objectdb database.  Our odb files are about 50Gb in size and are written to about a million times a day with both adds and updates.  This is creating a lot of unused space in the database that we are wanting to reclaim.  Other database vendors provide a vacuum process to allow dumping a database to a flat file (basically a sql dump) and reload.  Is there a capability in ObjectDb to provide a vacuum?  The online backup feature appears to copy the dead space as well so isn't performing... to do this other than manually implementing code to read, delete, and write to a new odb, is there an algorithim that you could provide ... edit delete kevinwh ...

Filename.odb$ Persisting Issue

Hi, I seem to have a frequent issue with my Filename.odb$ remaining in my /db directory after my program terminates which prevents me from running my program again due to a persistence error thrown by Eclipse. I can't seem to manually terminate the file either. I usually have to fully close Eclipse and wait a bit for it to remove itself. Any ideas why this happens? Thanks, Dragon ... edit delete DragonRulerX ... edit delete support ...

Problem on JPA Merge Entity.

Hello, I have a problem with the EntityManager.merge() function. I set a property value of an entity (statement) with an other entity (newSingleConstraint). newSingleValue is already persisted. I do this myself (no use of cascade because sometimes the newSingleValue is already in database).   The statement update don't throw exception. And when i try to reload statement the value i have set before is a null value. I check with the Explorer, the statement has a null value on the property and the newSingleValue is present.... edit delete guli ... edit delete support ...

ObjectDB for .NET (C# / VB)

The new file format of ObjectDB 2 has been carefully designed to support multi platform in general and .NET specifically. Work on porting ObjectDB to .NET has started. When it is released - the same database will be available from both Java and .NET and when using client server mode, the client will be have to run one platform where the server is on the other.... edit delete support ... edit delete geekox86 ...
