JPQL IN Operator

How can I use the standard JPQL IN operator with ObjectDB? This JPQL query works fine with EclipseLink / postgres but throws an exception in objectDB: select distinct dv.creationtime from DataValue dv where dv.capabilityId.capabilityId ==> in <== :capabilities and dv.creationtime >= :earliest and dv.creationtime <= :latest order by dv.creationtime ASC [ObjectDB 2.2.9] javax.persistence.PersistenceException Unexpected query token 'in' (error 752) ... edit delete freddieFishCake ... edit delete support ...

mappedBy problem

If I put the mappedBy element to the @OneToMany, the owned side (the many side) will never persist ! for example @Entity public class Employee { @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.IDENTITY) public Long id; public String name; @OneToMany(targetEntity=Address.class,mappedBy="employee") public List<Address> addresses; }   @Entity... edit delete eml eml ... edit delete support ...

problem with lazy loading - unittest project attached

hi, i'm still testing objectdb together with spring-data-jpa. i made a test which should simulate 4 requests 1. save entity 2. read an existing entity, add onetomany relation 3. read an existing entity, add another onetomany relation 4. read entity, get relations. i have the feeling this is not the optional way to test this, because of the differnt transaction behavior. the test is not transactional, but the spring repository methods are. ... edit delete chris ... edit delete support ...

Server closes if large query runs out of memory

We are using ObjectDB in production, and have found what we thing to be a serious problem:  the objectdb server can run out of memory and stop if a query deals with too many objects. This isn't the behaviour we expected for a product that we want to use to deliver 24/7 high-volume data collection. ObjectDB surely has some idea of the sizes of objects that it persists and retrieves, and so should be able to fail safely if it finds too many objects being retrieved to fit into memory. There must be some alternative to crashing! ... edit delete sjzlondon ... edit delete support ...

Cascading makeTransient

Hi! We have a memory leak in our app because of ObjectDBs __odbTracker fields. The situation is that we read the objects from the DB (many and large objects of class A) and then keep in the application cache only some embedded parts of those objects (let's call them class B). This application cache should work independently on the DB as if it contained transient objects. ... edit delete jakab ... edit delete support ...

List of Enum Values in an entity

Hello, I'm new with ObjectDB and just tried out the example in the Eclipse/Glassfish tutorial (http://www.objectdb.com/tutorial/jpa/eclipse/ee). After testing was successful, I extended the Guest class with an ArrayList of Enums: private ArrayList<GuestFlag> flags; The flags are stored into the database without any problem. In the explorer I can see that it is stored as array of Strings. ... edit delete Flashbaer ... edit delete support ...

Configuration and Activation Code in ObjectDB 2.x

Hi ,   I would like to update the ObjectDB from 1.0 to 2.3.7_25. I used the License key for activating the odbee.jar file and got the activation code.It is mentioned in the side that i need to use the activation code using <activation> tag in the objectdb.conf file. In 1.x objectDB, we are not using any objectDB.conf file, we are just using setProperty method to set the different property e.g. properties.setProperty("javax.jdo.PersistenceManagerFactoryClass","com.objectdb.jdo.PMF"); ... edit delete binitbhaskar ... edit delete support ...
