Different behavior with persist() and queried instances?

Hi, We have a simple class that by itself contains (among others) a property pointing to a collection: class Bla {  @OneToMany(cascade = CascadeType.ALL) private List<AttributeEntity> metaAttributes = new ArrayList<AttributeEntity>(); } #1 2011-05-03 08:40 Hi, We have a simple class that by itself contains (among others) a property pointing to a collection: ...

problem with lazy loading - unittest project attached

hi, i'm still testing objectdb together with spring-data-jpa. i made a test which should simulate 4 requests 1. save entity 2. read an existing entity, add onetomany relation 3. read an existing entity, add another onetomany relation 4. read entity, get relations. i have the feeling this is not the optional way to test this, because of the differnt transaction behavior. the test is not transactional, but the spring repository methods are. #1 2011-05-04 05:32 hi, i'm still testing objectdb together with spring-data-jpa. i made a test which should simu ...

Entity listener - event instead of object

Hi, Currently I'm playing with entity listener to implement auditing with difference between values in updated entity. There is a problem however with accessing "old" version of object stored in database. I can't find the nice way to use EntityManager in EntityListener. Because of that, I can't store separate entity for given event. Right now I'm using BaseEntity which contains ... create a copy of that object (maybe by JPA's  detach + merge or by JDO's detachCopy ). Then you may be able to ...

UserException - Object User#2 belongs to another EntityManager

Hi! Scenario's steps: 1. User goes to his profile, a JSF page. 2. @RequestScoped CDI bean UserDataB loads the current user of the session at each request, by using @Stateless bean UserC#findUserById(Long id) 3. JSF page's @RequestScoped CDI bean AnotherB loads trades of that user, by using @Stateless bean TradesC#findTradeByClient(User u). ### UserC and TradesC have their own @PersistenceContext EntityManager with the same unitName. #1 2013-08-19 08:44 Hi! JDO sequences from ORM file

I want to use sequences in JDO without using annotations. Normally this is done with a package-X.orm file, where X is a value passed to the PersistenceManagerFactory as the value of property "mapping". I'm encouraged to see that the JDO zip that comes with ObjectDB includes the DTD/XSD for this type of file, though I can't see a mention of it in the manual. #1 2013-03-12 17:07 I want to use sequences in JDO without using annotations.
