Replication error on slave restart

I'm trying to enable replication on master server that was running with "recovery" enabled previously. I have copied database file to slave... and so on by manual. It worked fine. But if I restart slave server: ... programs = "500" /> <extensions drop = "temp,tmp" /> </database > <entities > ... programs = "500" /> <extensions drop = "temp,tmp" /> </database > <entities > ...

significant performance decrease

we are using objected in embedded mode (on OS X and WINDOWS). The database increased now to around 400000 entities of one class (database file size around 1.5 GByte). The response time of standard queries increased with this database size to an unacceptable rate (several seconds compared to around 30% when the number of entities was just half of the current). We tried to optimize the cache settings, current objectdb.conf is: <!-- ObjectDB Configuration --> <objectdb> ... programs = "500" /> <extensions drop = "temp, tmp" /> <activation code = ...

Geospatial functions

Hi, is it possible to implement geospatial functions (e.g. calculating distance between too points given latitude/longitude) ?Normally you would calculate the distance like: ... "objectdb:$objectdb/db/points2.tmp;drop" ) ; EntityManager em = emf. ...

Optimistic locking: prevent version increment on entity collection attribute

Hello, I have an entity E with an attribute which is a collection of entities (one to many relationship) with an optimistic locking strategy supported by a version field. Is it possible to prevent the increment of the version of entity E when entities are added to or removed from the collection? Something like the equivalent of @OptimisticLock(excluded=true) in Hibernate? Thanks, Farid ... . createEntityManagerFactory ( "./test.odb;drop" ) ; EntityManager em = emf. ... . createEntityManagerFactory ( "./test.odb;drop" ) ; EntityManager em = emf. ...

JPA JPQL WHERE clause for IN :variable not working if variable is a list of Enums

Hi, I have a case where I have a JPQL query like: "select o from MyEntity o WHERE (enumField IN :enumFieldList)" And enum field is defined in MyEntity as: @Enumerated(EnumType.STRING) @Column(nullable = false) @Index private MyEnumType enumField; And MyEnumType is defined as: public enum MyEnumType { VALUE1, VALUE2, VALUE3, VALUE4 } and I call: ... problem when primary key value is zero

I am copying data from a postgres database to objectDB. Some of the rows in the postgres table were created by postgres DDL / SQL insert statements and so do not abide by all JPA rules and recommendations, in particular there are some primary keys with value == 0. These cause problems for objectDB, typically "JPA Unexpected argument as primary key". When using eclipselink, there is a workaround that can be added to persistence.xml like this: ... ( "objectdb:$objectdb/db/test.tmp;drop" ) ; EntityManager em = emf. ...

Sort of very large objects - out of memory

The attached test is failing with an out of memory exception when running with -Xmx512m It performs the following actions: 1) Create 5 persist threads which create and persist a large object in a loop 100 times each 2) Create 5 get threads which read 100 objects each in a loop based on object creation time and priority The message size should be around 1mb so I think there should be around 11mb of "live" data in play at any time. The objectdb cache settings are low in the config - database section is below for reference. ... programs = "500" /> <extensions drop = "temp, tmp, odb" /> <activation code = "..." ...

java.sql.Timestamp with milliseconds

Using JPA with other providers java.util.Date will not provide support to store milliseconds, this can usually be overcome using (see here http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/api/java/sql/Timestamp.html) @Id @Column(name = "STMP") @Temporal(TemporalType.TIMESTAMP) private Timestamp timestamp; However with ObjectDB the milliseconds are not being stored, as shown this is an ID field and I am encountering duplicate ID errors trying to create multiple entries in the same second. ... Need help to make this test work and define proper annotations for entities Lists

Hi, I can't get this simple test case to work, i know it is probably due to the lack of proper annotations on entities list, could anyone help me to define them? NB in this test case I didn't set all entities methods for the sake of clarity, also in actual application no field are public nor static and no entity is static.    ...
