Issue with Casting / Joins

Hi I can't seem to find my way out of this. Basically what I have is something like: ... ( "objectdb:$objectdb/db/test.tmp;drop" ) ; EntityManager em = emf. ...

NullPointer when accessing persistent field

I am afraid this is a large and complex example, and I do not encounter the problem in simple cases, therefore there is no example attached. I appreciate this may make the bug unreproduceable from your end.   ... ( "objectdb:$objectdb/db/test.tmp;drop" ) ;   EntityManager em = emf. ...

EntityManager JPA or JDO impl and different behavior

Hi, I have an issue with the EntityManager. My persistance XML looks like: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <persistence version="2.0" xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_2_0.xsd"> ... Out of Memory - Slow leak?

This is a continutaion of Issue 61 - unfortunately it doesnt seem that the fix in 2.2.9_03 has fixed the problem. The scenario is still the same: I have two "producer" processes which insert messages into an objectdb "queue" database running with an objectdb server process. I have one "consumer" process which reads messages from the queue database and inserts these into an embedded "normal" objectdb database. This is the process which has generated the OOM exception. Bug Version: 2.2.9 Priority: Normal Status: Fixed Replies: 13 Type:  Bug ...

Use temporary files to enable very large transactions

We have transactions in which many objects are created. These objects are no longer needed in the current transaction after creation. Unfortunately, we will receive an OutOfMemory exception because the objects are kept in the first level cache of ObjectDB. In the forum thread http://www.objectdb.com/database/forum/921 on post #4 you wrote, that ObjectDB should support very large transactions in further version. Can you implement it that ObjectDB used temporary files? ... ( "objectdb:$objectdb/db/test.tmp;drop" ) ; EntityManager em = emf. ... = "500" /> <extensions drop = "temp, tmp" />   <activation ...

Wrong data stored in time only fields

This may be related to the fix for the problem described in this thread: Wrong data stored in date only fields. The object and its date and time fields are the same as in the referenced thread. Except we are using ObjectDB 2.6.4_08, the system time zone is set to EST and both the OS and JVM are using the 2015g time zone data. ... Empty temporary dat files in the temp folder

Hello, We have questions regarding the pagesX.dat files in the temp directory. We detected a problem on a machine with ‘only’ 2GB free memory on disc drive C:/ because during using our Product the %temp%/objectdb_123... folder growth up to 2GB. And then we run into some following errors due to lack of memory. ... . createEntityManagerFactory ( db + ";drop" ) ;   EntityManager em = emf. ...

"where in" query

Is it possible to run a query selecting values that exist in a provided list? e.g. something like: SELECT u FROM User m WHERE u.username IN ('test_user','anotheruser') I've tried various combinations of this including passing the list as a named parameter but without any joy. The only similar examples I can find in the docs involve a join query - but my list isn't in the database - and the MEMBER OF operator doesn't seem to do what I want (although I may be using it incorrectly! ... mapping file is not being loaded

Hi, I am evaluating ObjectDB by using it with an in-house developed library in order to prototype its capabilities / performance. I am having a problem in that the in-house library in question reads a simple configuration file to determine available persistence units, and then bootstraps them using the JPA Persistance.createEntityManagerFactory() method and passing in the persistence unit name (again, obtained from the configuration file ). ... value = "objectdb://localhost/db/test.tmp;drop" /> <property name = "javax.persistence.jdbc.user" ...
