Unable to execute update query

Hello! I'm trying to do an update query via the explorer to set a new field value for around 400k objects. UPDATE Position p SET p.originalData = null This exception raises when I try to do it: ... Sort of very large objects - out of memory

The attached test is failing with an out of memory exception when running with -Xmx512m It performs the following actions: 1) Create 5 persist threads which create and persist a large object in a loop 100 times each 2) Create 5 get threads which read 100 objects each in a loop based on object creation time and priority The message size should be around 1mb so I think there should be around 11mb of "live" data in play at any time. The objectdb cache settings are low in the config - database section is below for reference. ... programs = "500" /> <extensions drop = "temp, tmp, odb" /> <activation code = "..." ...

java.sql.Timestamp with milliseconds

Using JPA with other providers java.util.Date will not provide support to store milliseconds, this can usually be overcome using (see here http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/api/java/sql/Timestamp.html) @Id @Column(name = "STMP") @Temporal(TemporalType.TIMESTAMP) private Timestamp timestamp; However with ObjectDB the milliseconds are not being stored, as shown this is an ID field and I am encountering duplicate ID errors trying to create multiple entries in the same second. ... Unique contraint with 2 members

I am trying to do the following: @javax.persistence.Entity public class Account { @Unique() private String name; @Unique(members={"SalesforceID","sport"}) private String SalesforceID; private String sport; ... } The first Unique contraint works. On commit, an exception is thrown if an Account already exists with the specified name. The second does not seem to work. I would expect an exception to be thrown if the combination of SalesforceID and sport is not unique. Am I doing this right? ... remove() and persist() in same transaction => Attempt to reuse an existing primary key value

Hello Support, in our configuration (FlushModeType.AUTO) is the execution of  em.find(Entity.class, <id>) much faster than an equivalent query. To optimize the Performance we define a special Entity (A) with additional data that use an existing ID of another Entity (B) from another class (another table). On this point we get no conflicts. If we remove additional data for Entity (B) and then the special Entity (A) is empty, we remove the special Entity (A). ... ( "objectdb:$objectdb/db/test.tmp;drop" ) ; EntityManager em = emf. ...

Is there an update on running ObjectDB purely in-memory?

Hi, I know that this has been asked, but the last time seems to be two years ago, so I'd like to know whether there is a change or an outlook regarding the topic: Is it possible, or planned, to run ObjectDB purely in-memory, without a any file on disk? Note that "file on RAM disk", which was proposed in the past, is not an option for the application I have in mind. It would need to be true in-memory mode, as supported by SQL databases like H2 or SQLite. Thanks, David ... <database > <extensions drop = "temp, tmp" memory = "mem, memory" /> </database ...

Memory leak while merging parent with No Cascade annotation with children

Hello support, While tracking memory leak in my application i suspected a memory leak in the merging object db implementation.
