License Activation Change and Checking Activation

Hello! How does ObjectDB determine the machine ID? Yesterday I activated our license on my development laptop and today I tried to persist more than 1M objects. ObjectDB told me that it cant't do that because of the evaluation restrictions. Now I activated it again on the same machine and got a different activation code. With this code it works. The only difference I can think of is that my WiFi was disabled yesterday and today it's not. ... feature was implemented for a specific check in embedded mode. In client server mode it didn't work well, because it checks ...

turn off auto-serialization

Hi    As far as I understand if you have a classe that implements Serializable and is referenced by an Entity it will be automatically stored using standard serialization mechanizm.  Is there any option to turn off that feature so that if an un-enhanced (Serializable) class is referenced an error will be printed ??   Thanks in advance b #1 2011-08-08 12:33 Hi    As far as I understand if you have a classe that implements Serializable and is r ...

Optimization Question

One of our uses for your ObjectDB software is in maintaining the current state of a large number of data objects called tracks. These tracks change very frequently over time (every 10-15 seconds is not unreasonable), but they are also very large complex data structures so it's extremely difficult to identify exactly what fields have changed from one update to the next. Currently the following sequence executes when a track update comes in: - If it’s a new track simply add it to the database.... also consider improving performance by: Using more embedded objects whenever possible. Delaying the delete operations to time ...

Use temporary files to enable very large transactions

We have transactions in which many objects are created. These objects are no longer needed in the current transaction after creation. Unfortunately, we will receive an OutOfMemory exception because the objects are kept in the first level cache of ObjectDB.
