JDO sequences from ORM file

I want to use sequences in JDO without using annotations. Normally this is done with a package-X.orm file, where X is a value passed to the PersistenceManagerFactory as the value of property "mapping". I'm encouraged to see that the JDO zip that comes with ObjectDB includes the DTD/XSD for this type of file, though I can't see a mention of it in the manual. #1 2013-03-12 17:07 I want to use sequences in JDO without using annotations. turn off auto-serialization

Hi    As far as I understand if you have a classe that implements Serializable and is referenced by an Entity it will be automatically stored using standard serialization mechanizm.  Is there any option to turn off that feature so that if an un-enhanced (Serializable) class is referenced an error will be printed ??   Thanks in advance b #1 2011-08-08 12:33 Hi    As far as I understand if you have a classe that implements Serializable and is r ...

Speed of queries that return many objects

Hi, I have a DB of 146MB - with 1_000_000 elements. Loading the contents (objectDB query in java) takes about 10sec. I am using a recent MacBook (SSD blabla - disk I/O speed is about 400MB/sec - according to blackMagicTest app for mac) - so I was expecting the query to take less than one sec (146/400 = 0.35sec.. + some overhead). I was wondering if this kind of speed is "normal", or if this is something I should investigate. Thanks EKK ... for this test case seems to be normal, although with enhancement and tuning it could be in the range of 1-2 seconds. The ...
