Objectdb Doctor

Hi, I have deleted an instance of ClassA. However, if I try to access ClassB, which has a field of type ClassA, ClassB.classA, then, rather than getting a null pointer for classB.classA, I get an enormous exception. How does the ObjectDB Doctor help?   #1 2011-01-10 07:07 Hi, I have deleted an instance of ClassA . However, if I try to access ClassB , which has a field o ...

Read only hint for query

Second thing after @FetchGroup I've found is read-only hint for EM. You can specify this hint to EM when executing query meaning that returned data will never be edited or persisted. My understanding of this is that each entity returned from query is in detached state as default state. query.setHint("odb.read-only", "true"); This could be useful in situation when you are sure, that you won't modify those entities - like listing entities, paging, logging, reporting. Calculating age in query?

Hi! I've got an issue: I have a birthdate as java.sql.Date and a separate field int age. However, of course the age is not accurate because it gets set only once. So what's the best bet (JPA Standard way) to solve the issue of accessing and filtering by an age (having a birthdate) in a query? thanks! Alex #1 2012-05-29 07:20 Hi! Foreign key constraint issue

Hi, I'm trying to create two tables (Parent and Child) with a foreign key constraint from Child to Parent so that when the parent is deleted all children are removed as well. Unfortunately, in one specific case that foreign key constraint doesn't apply and I can't figure out what I'm missing. The definitions of the classes are as follows: #1 2017-02-21 19:59 Hi, I'm trying to create two tables (Parent and Child) with a foreign key constraint from Child to Pa ...

Spatial queries with ObjectDB

Hello ! Can some-one explain me if it's possible to fill ObjectDB with objects containing Geometric-properties and howto execute spatial queries on them? Low performance when getting grove roots

Hi, I have a grove-like structure of objects, every objects referencing its parent. Root objects have null as the value of this parent reference. To find the roots I execute a query. If the number of objects in the tree is significant, this query takes almost forever, it seems ObjectDB loads all objects on the DB to test their parent field value. Id there a way to force ObjectDB to create an index for this field? Regards, Vladimir ... as the value of this parent reference. To find the roots I execute a query.
