100% CPU when using multiple BETWEEN

Hi, we are evaluating ObjectDB 2.5.1_03 in embedded mode. We have a DB of about 2800 instances of a class that has two java.lang.String members: toExtension and fromExtension. There are other members in the class, but not relevant to the problem.   A query like this cause the java process to start running at 100% CPU (endless loop) and it never recovers: ... test database so we would be able to run this query in the Explorer? Slow performance on Mac

- This code is tested on Windows and Mac. Windows is working great, Mac is very slow (read is 11 seconds on Mac, and 100 milliseconds on Windows). - Application is using Spring Boot console application (for JPA implementation) - MacOS Sierra 10.12.3, Core i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, SSD drive java version "1.8.0_131" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_131-b11) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.131-b11, mixed mode)   Running sample jar: ... method, which would take 5 seconds. Safe Settings

Hi, I am trying to set up ObjectDb in a safe way that allows turning the machine off while database transactions are running. I would like to test if things are really safe and if I don't get corrupted database files in any possible case. I found "recovery" and "recording" in the objectdb.conf file. Which one is safer to use? I suppose I should turn on sync="true", right? #1 2011-03-28 16:05 Hi, I am trying to set up ObjectDb in a safe way that allows turning the machine off while database trans ...

Slow searching with two indexes

I'm running queries on a large database (tens of millions of objects), and I'm running into a performance problem using two indexes.  An entity I'm querying has two indexed fields - one is the primary key (id) and so is different for each object, and the other is an object reference that only has a few tens of different values.   When I query by just the primary key, it's (of course) extremely fast, but when I also query using the other key, queries can take minutes.... further, and I have the query logs from using the Database Explorer: SELECT FROM NmeaBatch WHERE receiver == :r ...

database optimization

Hi, couple of questions regarding database optimization: 1) Noticed something odd with the level 2 cache configuration:    level2="0mb" -> 20 msec query    level2="2mb" -> 10 msec    level2="10mb" -> 40 msec Question: why is a larger level2 cache worse than no level2 cache, ie 10mb worse than 0mb? 2) (separate issue) I'm noticing that write queries are around 20-50x slower than read queries, on the same set of objects. #1 2011-02-25 05:29 Hi, couple of questions regarding database optimization: 1) Noticed something odd with the level 2 cache ...

Can't post on your forum

Since yesterday, I can't post on the forum because it always says that I should log in in order to do that. I was already logged in, but, anyway, it appeared as not. I go to log in, then I authenticate, then I'm redirected to the home page, but it still looks that I'm not logged in, so I can't post on the forum. I tried removing the cookies, but nothing.
