Configuration and Activation Code in ObjectDB 2.x

Hi ,   I would like to update the ObjectDB from 1.0 to 2.3.7_25. I used the License key for activating the odbee.jar file and got the activation code.It is mentioned in the side that i need to use the activation code using <activation> tag in the objectdb.conf file. In 1.x objectDB, we are not using any objectDB.conf file, we are just using setProperty method to set the different property e.g. properties.setProperty("javax.jdo.PersistenceManagerFactoryClass","com.objectdb.jdo.PMF"); ... Filename.odb$ Persisting Issue

Hi, I seem to have a frequent issue with my Filename.odb$ remaining in my /db directory after my program terminates which prevents me from running my program again due to a persistence error thrown by Eclipse. I can't seem to manually terminate the file either. I usually have to fully close Eclipse and wait a bit for it to remove itself. Any ideas why this happens? Thanks, Dragon ... JDO sequences from ORM file

I want to use sequences in JDO without using annotations. Normally this is done with a package-X.orm file, where X is a value passed to the PersistenceManagerFactory as the value of property "mapping". I'm encouraged to see that the JDO zip that comes with ObjectDB includes the DTD/XSD for this type of file, though I can't see a mention of it in the manual. ... Once served to JSF page via @EJB query bean, many list fields are null (but same query ok after fresh persist in @PostConstruct)

I have marked this as CRITICAL because although there probably is no database integrity problem, the inability to robustly query relationship fields in a web application renders the ObjectDB system seemingly useless. objectdb-2.2.5_10 NetbeansIDE6.9.1 Glassfish3.01 client-server mode. odb file written to db-files/greendesk/greendesk.odb (see persistence.xml), copy of odb output attached. ... Queries are slow on a large database

Hi, I have a 12GB database with 787603 entries. It is much larger than usual and there are performances issues. I am doing small queries and they take much longer than I expect, i.e.: Get the total number of entries Get 25 consecutive entries (i.e. 0-25) Get one specific entry On average each query needs 4 to 5 minutes to return a result. I have been adviced to use indexes but they are already used through the JDO Metadata file. For instance I use this class: ...
