Vacuum - Reclaiming Unused Space In Odb

I was curious if you could assist me with a challenge we are having with our objectdb database.  Our odb files are about 50Gb in size and are written to about a million times a day with both adds and updates.  This is creating a lot of unused space in the database that we are wanting to reclaim.  Other database vendors provide a vacuum process to allow dumping a database to a flat file (basically a sql dump) and reload.  Is there a capability in ObjectDb to provide a vacuum?  The online backup feature appears to copy the dead space as well so isn't performing... Speed of queries that return many objects

Hi, I have a DB of 146MB - with 1_000_000 elements. Loading the contents (objectDB query in java) takes about 10sec. I am using a recent MacBook (SSD blabla - disk I/O speed is about 400MB/sec - according to blackMagicTest app for mac) - so I was expecting the query to take less than one sec (146/400 = 0.35sec.. + some overhead). I was wondering if this kind of speed is "normal", or if this is something I should investigate. Thanks EKK ... ObjectDB Support ObjectDB - Fast Object Database for Java (JPA/JDO) ... Navigation to Collection Elements

Greetings ObjectDB team, Suppose I have a collection typed field (list/map/set...) in my persistent object of class X. Can I navigate (as oppose to using JOIN) to individual elements (in JPA & JDO) ? e.g.: x.list.get(10) x.map.get("key") x.list.get(10).get("key") // the element itself is a map Thanks & Best Regards... can removing an entity throw an exception if the entity is in use?

Suppose you have an entity @Entity class A { ... } and other entities with references to A.   e.g. @Entity class B { A a; // explicit reference to A List<A> list; // list of A's Set<A> set; // set of A's Set untyped; // general collection that may include A's } Objectdb allows me to remove an instance of A, even if a managed B has some reference to that A. When I then find the B instance and try to reference the A, I get an EntityNotFoundException. ... ObjectDB Support ObjectDB - Fast Object Database for Java (JPA/JDO) ...
