Clarification on free license restrictions

Hello,   My apologies if the answer is already on the website, but I’m struggling to find a definitive answer.  The 10 entity class restriction is very clear, but can each of these classes use unrestricted numbers of embeddable classes?  Do embeddable classes count as part of the ten?  I assume not, but I need to check before I code further (and learn more about the product).   ... InternalError on query of empty database

Hi, I have reasons for sometimes trying to query the database before anything has been created. The problem is the database throws a InternalException when that happens. Is it possible to throw something that identifies that that is the issue, say something like "MissingSchemaException", ie something that clearly shows its because no data of that type has been added? This just makes the exception catching cleaner. Thought thinking about it, it probably needs to be a JPA exception, maybe something like javax.persistence.EntityNotFoundException? ... Future JDO versions?

We are about to release our first product using ObjectDB (as a small embedded store), and soon hope to release a much larger product using ObjectDB (will need an OEM license).  What really interests us is JDO.  We have been using JDO for over a decade and have found it consistently a far better API than JPA, as all kinds of features that are optional or require special extensions in JPA products, (such as large query optimisation, storage of collections of non-entities and automated management of identity) are built-in to JDO.... version of ObjectDB. Same is regarding automatically generated UUID. Other features seem to be less important, but please update the ...

Performance and memory usage of queries

Hello, we can't understand why the performance of queries is not the best and the execution requires so much memory. In the implementation of our UnitTests we have used "DELETE FROM Object" to delete the database. That did not work because we often get an "out of memory" exception. What's all done in the execution of queries? Why is so much memory is required, although from the application point of view, no object is loaded. ... 2.6.1_01] Unexpected exception (Error 990)   Generated by Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 1.7.0_71 (on Windows 7 ...
