Reading 1.x odb files in ObjectDB 2.x without upgrading

Hi, We have a problem in the backward compatibilty in our software as once we have migrated object db odb file from version 1.x to 2.x, user is unable to open the odb files in the application which is having object db 1.x installed. Is there any way to read odb files from 1.x in object db 2.x without upgrading it ? Or user can see the content in read only mode without upgrading it ? Thanks #1 2012-09-03 10:49 Hi, We have a problem in the backward compatibilty in our software as once we have migrated object db odb ...

ObjectDB's Database Doctor Incorrect Error Report

Am I reading this correctly?  It seems that Doctor is telling me that one of my objects is missing.  Looking at the database with ObjectDB's Database Explorer though seems to show that the reference to the object is good and that the object does indeed exist.   Output from Doctor Diagnose and Doctor Repair is attached.  So are the two databases and screenshots of Explorer showing the reference to the object and the existence of the object. #1 2016-08-13 16:33 Am I reading this correctly?  It seems that Doctor is telling me that one of my objects is missing.  Lo ...

Filename.odb$ Persisting Issue

Hi, I seem to have a frequent issue with my Filename.odb$ remaining in my /db directory after my program terminates which prevents me from running my program again due to a persistence error thrown by Eclipse. I can't seem to manually terminate the file either. I usually have to fully close Eclipse and wait a bit for it to remove itself. Any ideas why this happens? Thanks, Dragon #1 2017-09-22 21:07 Hi, I seem to have a frequent issue with my Filename.odb$ remaining in my /db directory after my program ...

Multi-thread access to single EM's entities

If my entity classes have synchronized getters and setters, is it reliable for multiple threads to access a single EM's managed entities, as long as only the thread that created the EM interacts directly with it?  I've tested this and it seems to work... but I know better than to depend on the observable behavior of multithreaded code. When I run this example and examine the database, the entity contains the value set by the second thread, as expected.   #1 2012-04-09 02:22 If my entity classes have synchronized getters and setters, is it reliable for multiple threads to access a singl ...

GlassFish 3.1.2.2/JBoss 7.1.1

Good day, We have few troubles with GlassFish on @remote. When we wants to get entity from remote interface, but in the result we have null in all entity fields. As I see there is a GlassFish problem (http://www.java.net/forum/topic/glassfish/glassfish/cant-return-entity-ejbs-remote-ejb). May be you have some ideas?  When we just try JBoss 7.1.1 nothing works at all. When I get a real world objectdb deployment example?    Thanks.  #1 2012-08-02 07:59 Good day, We have few troubles with GlassFish on @remote. When we wants to get entity from remote interfa ...
