ObjectDB 2.x is working without any activation code

Hi, I downloaded the objectDB from the http://www.objectdb.com/object/db/database/download and then added the objectdb.jar in my classpath. I used the default objectdb.conf file present in the objectdb.jar file and it is working without any activation code.. Is it is bug in objectdb or it works without actionvation code also. I am saving some information into the some.odb file and reading the informatin without any problem. What exactly is the activation code for ? Thanks & regards, #1 2012-07-23 12:50 Hi, I downloaded the objectDB from the http://www.objectdb.com/object/db/database/download and then&n ...

ObjectDB Enhancer Tool in Java 9

I am migrating to Java 9 and have encountered some issues, which I am sure will eventually be addressed by a Java 9 compatible ObjectDB future release, but while waiting for that release, perhaps you could give some advice for my current issues. Firstly, I created my own ObjectDB module.  I try to run com.objectdb.Enhancer from that module, but ObjectDB gives the error below.  My guess is the error is because ObjectDB is trying to detect its objectdb.home location by looking at its objectdb.jar location, which is not valid in a Java module environment. ... Otherwise I guess my only recourse is to also install Java 8 and use it just to run ObjectDB's Enhancer.   ...

ODB tries to create log files inside its own jar on Win7

I sent a demo of an app I've been developing on Linux to some Windows 7 users, and they were unable to run it.  The stack traces they sent me indicated that ODB was trying to create its log files inside objectdb.jar, which was inside the executable jar packaged by Eclipse.  Here's the end of the stack trace: #1 2012-04-18 02:47 I sent a demo of an app I've been developing on Linux to some Windows 7 users, and they were unable to run it ...

How force always recreate database on redeployment.

Is there some easy way to force recreation/deletion of the current database on deployment of a web application (to Glassfish). My web application uses a @Singleton @Startup bean to create and persist a test model each run. I keep getting models on top of each other on rerunning my web application. Currently, to avoid multiple models in the database, I have to undeploy from Glassfish, stop the server, delete the database file, re-start the objectdb server, re-run the web app, which is tedious. #1 2012-03-03 09:32 Is there some easy way to force recreation/deletion of the current database on deployment of a web application (t ...

Activated ObjectDB still throws "Too many persistable types"

I have upgraded from 2.3.7 to 2.4.4 and now my activation won't work, throwing the dreaded com.objectdb.o.UserException: Too many persistable types (>10) - exceeds evaluation limit I have already reactivated and checked that my objectdb.conf is correctly used (by inserting random chars at the beginning of the file, which lead to an error). Yet I still get the error thrown. Nothing in my configuration changed except the version. What could possibly be the problem with that? #1 2012-10-29 14:43 I have upgraded from 2.3.7 to 2.4.4 and now my activation won't work, throwing the dreaded com. objec ...
