Online backup with JDO

Hi, I would like to try the Online Backup tool as I am making backups up to now with the not encouraged file-copying method while the database is online. So my first question is to this file-copying. I've read at the Database Doctor that copying the db file while it is online may cause corrupted DB file. Does this mean that the copy can be corrupted or even the source file ? My second question is about starting the online backup. The manual suggests starting it via the EntityManager with the code ... WORM (Write once read many) support

Hello, we would like to propose a feature in the objectdb if this is not already available. We use objectdb in our product development and deployment in high secure environments like police, military and government agencies. We have developed a specialized hardware device in a form of appliance which acts as archiving device for processing and storing logs, records and transactions. InternalError on query of empty database

Hi, I have reasons for sometimes trying to query the database before anything has been created. The problem is the database throws a InternalException when that happens. Is it possible to throw something that identifies that that is the issue, say something like "MissingSchemaException", ie something that clearly shows its because no data of that type has been added? This just makes the exception catching cleaner. Thought thinking about it, it probably needs to be a JPA exception, maybe something like javax.persistence.EntityNotFoundException? ... that identifies that that is the issue, say something like "MissingSchemaException", ie something that clearly shows its because no ... it probably needs to be a JPA exception, maybe something like javax.persistence.EntityNotFoundException? Is there an update on running ObjectDB purely in-memory?

Hi, I know that this has been asked, but the last time seems to be two years ago, so I'd like to know whether there is a change or an outlook regarding the topic: Is it possible, or planned, to run ObjectDB purely in-memory, without a any file on disk? Note that "file on RAM disk", which was proposed in the past, is not an option for the application I have in mind. It would need to be true in-memory mode, as supported by SQL databases like H2 or SQLite. Thanks, David ... but the last time seems to be two years ago, so I'd like to know whether there is a change or an outlook regarding the topic: ... to be true in-memory mode, as supported by SQL databases like H2 or SQLite. JPA Query language support in OBjectDB / Sub query or nested Query

Hi Wanted to check with you on the exact level of support of JPA QL within the ObjectDB world.
