How to Use a SF with extended Persistence Context?

Hey, I have a problem to use SF with an Extended Persistence Context Regarding to Transactions. The need for an extended persistence Context emerges for the need to create queries in advance for fast execution so I need to store the queries and I need an EntityManager that doesn't get closed between calls. When I call the SF directly no problem happens but if I use SL to hold a reference to the SF I get com.objectdb.o._PersistenceException: Attempt to begin a new transaction when a transaction is active. ... Query becomes slower on moving from ObjectDB 1.x to ObjectDB 2.x

Hi, I upgraded the odb file using converter.jar which is having 15943 entry. Previously, with object 1.x, the same query was getting executed within an seconds and now the same is taking around 40 seconds in object db 2.x I have build the query using the follwoing Query query = persistanceManager.newQuery("LogEntryAttrebuteImpl.calss", "typeIndexes.contains(this.type) && logEntryIdList.contains(this.logEntryId)"); ... spawn) to to repair.  I got the following log when using doctor 11-Sep 14:55:33 ERROR  ...

Indexing a field results in internal Exception

I have an application that I have been converting from JPA/MySQL to JDO/ObjectDB and I have hit a problem with indexing. An index on a String field is required to give good performance but if I add the @Index annotation to the field I eventually end up with an ObjectDB internal exception.  This is reproducible, as is the program running to completion (slowly) if I remove the @Index annotation.  Is there anything I can look for that might result in this exception? #1 2013-04-21 20:40 I have an application that I have been converting from JPA/MySQL to JDO/ObjectDB and I have hit a problem with in ...

Use temporary files to enable very large transactions

We have transactions in which many objects are created. These objects are no longer needed in the current transaction after creation. Unfortunately, we will receive an OutOfMemory exception because the objects are kept in the first level cache of ObjectDB. In the forum thread http://www.objectdb.com/database/forum/921 on post #4 you wrote, that ObjectDB should support very large transactions in further version. Can you implement it that ObjectDB used temporary files? ... password = "true" /> <log path = "$objectdb/log/" max = "8mb" stdout = "true" stderr = "false" /> ...
