Out of Memory - Slow leak?

This is a continutaion of Issue 61 - unfortunately it doesnt seem that the fix in 2.2.9_03 has fixed the problem. The scenario is still the same: I have two "producer" processes which insert messages into an objectdb "queue" database running with an objectdb server process. I have one "consumer" process which reads messages from the queue database and inserts these into an embedded "normal" objectdb database. This is the process which has generated the OOM exception. ObjectDB 2.x is working without any activation code

Hi, I downloaded the objectDB from the http://www.objectdb.com/object/db/database/download and then added the objectdb.jar in my classpath. I used the default objectdb.conf file present in the objectdb.jar file and it is working without any activation code.. Is it is bug in objectdb or it works without actionvation code also. I am saving some information into the some.odb file and reading the informatin without any problem. What exactly is the activation code for ? Thanks & regards, #1 2012-07-23 12:50 Hi, I downloaded the objectDB from the http://www.objectdb.com/object/db/database/download and then&n ...

locks on pure query activities

analyzing the dynamic behavior we can see from the thread dump that a lot of our threads that are just doing simple queries show locks like these (question is: why there are locks and how could we get rid of that):   log1:   #1 2017-04-28 09:28 analyzing the dynamic behavior we can see from the thread dump that a lot of our threads that are just doing simp ...

PersistenceManager.getObjectsById(Collection,boolean) throwing JDOException

I have a call to getObjectsById(Collection, boolean) that is throwing a JDOException the first time I'm attempting to retrieve an object. If I try again, then the second request succeeds. Any idea why this might occur? We're using ObjectDB 2.2.4_02. The collection being passed in is a HashSet<Object> containing a single oid object (the method is written to support multiple objects, but it seems to only be failing irregularly when only a single oid is present). I'm passing false in as the verification argument. #1 2011-05-24 21:06 I have a call to getObjectsById(Collection, boolean) that is throwing a JDOException the first time I'm attemp ...

Blocked by find

I have a container object which wraps an objectdb database. There is a "putIfAbsent(String id, Object obj)" method which is synchronized and attempts to load an object by id using the EntityManager "find" method. If nothing is returned from the db the passed object is persisted to the db. I have 5 threads which use this method. In a run today one of the threads seems to have got stuck somewhere in the find. The thread dump looks like: ... The system property doesnt seem to have produced any extra logging though - I've checked that it is definitely set by doing a ... up. Since you got the exception without the new logging - this is probably not a page circle issue. I just fixed a ...

Hi, it happened already few times (seemingly randomly), that some db operation (read and also write) failed with an exception during an online backup of the same DB file was running and was close to finish its task.
