Custom Classloader: Issues with the Enhancer Agent

In my use case I generate some classes dynamically and load them with a custom classloader. The classloader is very standard and does something like this (simplified): ... enhancement to the class and loads the modified version in memory first. However, the main issue is that the Agent seems to call back to ... enhancement to the class and loads the modified version in memory first. Not exactly. The enhancer loads the class before ...

Create simple index for a Id field

Hello, I just wanted to write another anotation to my key field so I can have a really simple index. This is the original code: @Entity public class ObjectDbEntity<Key,Value> implements DataItemProvider<Value> {         @Id     private Key key = null;     private Value value = null; and I just want my key to be indexed on my db, just like this: ... (see this comparison ). But obviously a HashMap in memory is faster than any DBMS for simple direct lookup operations. ... you may still want to manage your own HashMap cache in memory for specific objects if you need the extra performance. But note ...

I have a number of other projects running in Eclipse right now, so I created the new project as specified in Step 1 The only thing I did differently was in steps two and three I used the source folder "Tutorial/src" which is what I used to create the project in Step 1; Here's the output; ... another Point class previously and the database had a memory of it. First query takes 4+ minutes to complete

Hi, we are evaluating ObjectDB 2.5.1_04 in embedded mode hoping to replace SQLite in our application. We observed that in our case it takes on average more than 4 minutes to complete the first SELECT query that we run on the DB which contains about 320,000 records of a single type of object. SQLite in comparison responds within few seconds on average with the same number of records. We hope to receive your recommendation on how to improve this result with this post.   Test System ... of the CPUs. The rest are hardly used. SWAP memory is available but never used (no swapping occurs).   ... all the 320,000 objects,  and sorting them in memory in order to pick the first 50 that will be returned. With the suggested ...

Java 6/7 Performance Comparison

Hey, I've been using ObjectDB for a small scale home project to gain some familiarity before proposing it in a commercial project at work. What I've noticed though is that when using objectdb in embedded mode based on the console tutorial, there seems to be a bit of a performance gap running the same code between Java 6 & 7 Tracing it through I can see the bottle neck seems to be at the creation of the entity manager and I was wondering if there are any additional configuration options I may have missed while running under java 7. ... again after adjusting the objectdb.conf to grant more memory/threads to applications but have not noticed any differences in ...
