Filename.odb$ Persisting Issue

Hi, I seem to have a frequent issue with my Filename.odb$ remaining in my /db directory after my program terminates which prevents me from running my program again due to a persistence error thrown by Eclipse. I can't seem to manually terminate the file either. I usually have to fully close Eclipse and wait a bit for it to remove itself. Any ideas why this happens? Thanks, Dragon #1 2017-09-22 21:07 Hi, I seem to have a frequent issue with my Filename.odb$ remaining in my /db directory after my program ...

JPQL keyword in entity - what to do?

Hi, I have a problem with entity that is using one of JPQL keywords as one of the fields. It's a 'type' field. When I try to build a query that looks for example like this: select new ResultData(p.type.name, count(p.id)) from Product as p group by p.type.name I got this exception: ... ; p.done is boolean type. ResultData was modified like this: public class ResultData { public ...

Performance in large transactions

Hello, we have a performance problem when we use a large transaction. Let's do exactly the same in several transactions the ObjectDB works much faster. In our use case, we create many new entities and between the creations we call a select query. The execution of the query becomes slower at each iteration. (In the query, we search for an item of type Entity2. However, there is only one entity.)   Pseudocode for the fast and the slow solution FAST: ... is still embedded. A large embedded collection, which is modified in high frequency (as in this test case) is inefficient, since ...

Problem with distinct select, order by and equivalent alias/attribute path

Hi, while working with a (standard-)JPA-query generating framework we run into an exception when ordering the results of some projection when the order by expression is different (though logically equivalent) to the projection expression. Here is the example: #1 2016-01-10 10:19 Hi, while working with a (standard-)JPA-query generating framework we run into an exception when ordering ...

OutOfMemoryError on search after update on DB created with DB Doctor

It looks like there may be an issue with the DB files created with DB Doctor in recovery mode. This is the scenario that results in the OutOfMemory exception problem (using Object DB 2.5.4_04): 1. We instruct Object DB to create a 1Gb DB file on initial start-up using: <database> <size initial="1024mb" resize="256mb" page="2kb" /> This happens as expected. #1 2014-03-11 01:36 It looks like there may be an issue with the DB files created with DB Doctor in recovery mode. "where in" query

Is it possible to run a query selecting values that exist in a provided list? e.g. something like: SELECT u FROM User m WHERE u.username IN ('test_user','anotheruser') I've tried various combinations of this including passing the list as a named parameter but without any joy. The only similar examples I can find in the docs involve a join query - but my list isn't in the database - and the MEMBER OF operator doesn't seem to do what I want (although I may be using it incorrectly! #1 2011-06-23 08:12 Is it possible to run a query selecting values that exist in a provided list? e.g. something like: SELEC ...

ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1

I've attached a test which fails with the error "ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -1". It runs 10 threads which create and persist objects. The objects are based on application objects so its not a single class test I'm afraid but it is standalone. I'm running as follows: java -classpath objectdb.jar;test.jar PersistTest I've attached the test jar, a jar containing the source and the odjectdb.conf. ... of the same database page (representing pages that were modified by different transactions) and it should serve the right version of ...
