Memory leak

Hi, We have a memory leak in our application which seems to be related with ObjectDB. Basically, we use single instance of EntityManager, which is opened on aplication initialization and closed when the user logs out, as well as EntityManagerFactory. We use em.clear() after every commit and after execution of query. Our classes are enhanced with ObjectDB enhancer. However, used memory is growing overtime until OutOfMemoryException is thrown on JBoss server. We use JBoss 7.1.1. and latest ObjectDB version. #1 2014-03-22 20:31 Hi, We have a memory leak in our application which seems to be related with ObjectDB. Basically, ...

ClassCastException of same object type

I have ObjectDB partially working with my project. At the moment it seems to be saving objects and retrieving objects ok in the main project. However, when I make a plugin for the project, the new objects are persisted but not retrieved. I get the following error: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.sportscoring.ssv.xc.core.XCCompetitorCount cannot be cast to org.sportscoring.ssv.xc.core.XCCompetitorCount #1 2011-07-15 05:33 I have ObjectDB partially working with my project. Attempt to refresh a non managed entity object (error 635)

Just ran into a problem that I've not seen in 10 years of running ObjectDb: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException Attempt to refresh a non managed entity object (error 635) Nothing changed in my code, but I'm wondering if there is a problem with the config file, and /or my recent experiments with Intellij's JPA database explorer, which required me to use a JPA persistence.xml configuration file. (I was able to use to run objectdb queries from inside Intellij). ... file. (I was able to use to run objectdb queries from inside Intellij). At any rate, it's made me wonder ...

NPE using AND TRUE in WHERE clause

The following (dynamically generated) query causes an NPE: SELECT e FROM Event e WHERE e.account=:account AND TRUE When I change it to a trivial term which evaluates to true, it works fine: SELECT e FROM Event e WHERE e.account=:account AND 1=1 Here is the stack trace: Bug Version: 2.5.0 Priority: Normal Status: Fixed Replies: 1 Type:  Bug ...

Some technical questions

Hi, ObjectDB looks interesting. Have two technical questions... (1) what locking model does ObjectDB use? I.e. 2PL or MVCC? Do writers block readers? Do readers block writers? (2) what's the recommended usage for SAAS? One ObjectDB database per customer, or one ObjectDB database for all? Thank you, Andrej ... for all provides better capabilities (e.g cross customer queries). ObjectDB Support ObjectDB - Fast Object ...

Objectdb Doctor

Hi, I have deleted an instance of ClassA. However, if I try to access ClassB, which has a field of type ClassA, ClassB.classA, then, rather than getting a null pointer for classB.classA, I get an enormous exception. How does the ObjectDB Doctor help?  ... but rather computed on the fly by executing automatic queries). ObjectDB Doctor can help in this context in two ways: ...

More Efficient Primary Keys

Can you give us a recommendation as we can represent the Key (UUID) most efficient? Both in terms of memory usage of the database files, memory usage of the JVM and efficiency for queries. Detaching objects after JOIN FETCH

Hi, I have a question about detaching objects after issuing query with JOIN FETCH. Let's say I have two classes: public class A { @ManyToOne B bClass } public class B { @OneToMany(fetch = FetchType.LAZY, cascade = CascadeType.ALL) List<A> aClasses; } Now, I want to fetch all B classes with all A classes skipping lazy loading: #1 2012-07-11 07:50 Hi, I have a question about detaching objects after issuing query with JOIN FETCH. Future JDO versions?

We are about to release our first product using ObjectDB (as a small embedded store), and soon hope to release a much larger product using ObjectDB (will need an OEM license).  What really interests us is JDO.  We have been using JDO for over a decade and have found it consistently a far better API than JPA, as all kinds of features that are optional or require special extensions in JPA products, (such as large query optimisation, storage of collections of non-entities and automated management of identity) are built-in to JDO. #1 2014-06-15 21:01 We are about to release our first product using ObjectDB (as a small embedded store), and soon hope to release a ...
