SelfTest and com.objectdb.Doctor

Dear Objectdb-Team We're really pleased with objectdb. Nevertheless we would like to ask for an 'extra' feature. The class 'com.objectdb.Doctor' enables a self-test for a given Database. We would like to make a self-test before every start of the database (i.e. the server). In case of fails or errors we would like to repair the database and/or inform the customer. #1 2015-10-29 10:27 Dear Objectdb-Team We're really pleased with objectdb. A bidirectional OneToOne association with a shared primary key

Hi, In Hibernate, it is possible (using Hibernate specific annotations) to define a bidirectional @OneToOne association that has a shared primary key, example: http://fruzenshtein.com/bidirectional-one-to-one-primary-key-association/ #1 2013-09-27 07:26 Hi, In Hibernate, it is possible (using Hibernate specific annotations) to define a bidirectional @O ...

How do I achieve a Deep Fetch using JOIN FETCH?

I have an Entity type which is contains a collection of Embeddable objects, which in turn themselves contain a collection of Embeddable objects: @Embeddable class A { String val; }; @Embeddable class B { List<A> aList; }; @Entity class C { @Id long id; List<B> bList; };   Usually I'm content to have the B's and A's be lazily loaded, but I have a circumstance where I need to be able to work with the whole C object, with all its parts, as a detached object. #1 2013-03-27 03:07 I have an Entity type which is contains a collection of Embeddable objects, which in turn themselves contain a co ...

multi thread application, id field sporadically null

We are testing objectDB with a multi thread application. Each thread has it's own entityManager created from a common factory. In one thread we receive sometimes an object from the database with the field that is declared as @Id having the value null (what is not correct, we checked that with the explorer). The class is declared like this: ... #1 2014-04-10 16:04 We are testing objectDB with a multi thread application. Each thread has it's own entityManager created from ...

ClassCastException of same object type

I have ObjectDB partially working with my project. At the moment it seems to be saving objects and retrieving objects ok in the main project. However, when I make a plugin for the project, the new objects are persisted but not retrieved. I get the following error: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.sportscoring.ssv.xc.core.XCCompetitorCount cannot be cast to org.sportscoring.ssv.xc.core.XCCompetitorCount #1 2011-07-15 05:33 I have ObjectDB partially working with my project. Pessimistic Lock Timeouts setting

Hi,   I realise that JPA2 doesn't necessarily define a standard API way for Lock Timeouts. However, there is a standardised query 'hint' that can be setup to make the underlying DB lock a record for a specific time. The hint property is: "javax.persistence.lock.timeout" #1 2011-04-29 04:30 Hi,   I realise that JPA2 doesn't necessarily define a standard API way for Lock Timeouts. Howev ...

Groovy JPA example

I've been using Groovy with ObjectDb, just thought I'd post a short snippet to show how easy this is to do.
