Replicated cluster recovery

If I create a replicated database cluster as per http://www.objectdb.com/java/jpa/tool/replication what is the behaviour of the master database after a failure? For example, say I have MasterDB and SlaveDB in the cluster. If MasterDB goes offline the application will automatically switch to SlaveDB. When MasterDB comes back online it will have missed any activity that occured during the downtime. #1 2011-04-08 16:07 If I create a replicated database cluster as per http://www.objectdb.com/java/jpa/tool/replication what is the be ...

Fantom

Hi, so far I've been able to get ObjectDb to persist objects from many JVM languages, eg.: Java/Groovy/Scala/Kotlin. However, I can't seem to get Fantom to work. Anyone tried this yet? Optimization Question

One of our uses for your ObjectDB software is in maintaining the current state of a large number of data objects called tracks. These tracks change very frequently over time (every 10-15 seconds is not unreasonable), but they are also very large complex data structures so it's extremely difficult to identify exactly what fields have changed from one update to the next. Currently the following sequence executes when a track update comes in: - If it’s a new track simply add it to the database. #1 2010-06-16 15:41 One of our uses for your ObjectDB software is in maintaining the current state of a large number of data objects cal ...

Schema-Update: Deactivation of automatic entity class removing and introduction of a new class remove in the schema config

Hello, in our application we use ObjectDB in embedded mode as part of the Profile that can be stored and opened by our customers. Our application is an eclipse RCP application with a domain-driven design. The product can be installed in different configurations (in other words with more or less PlugIns). This presents us with further challenges when we have made changes to DB schema for new versions. Feature Request Version: 2.7.1 Priority: High Status: Active Replies: 4 Type:  Feature Request ...

Eclipse4 RCP - No Persistence provider for EntityManager

Hello, I'm developing an Eclipse4 RCP application which uses ObjectDB and have the following problem after calling Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory("test.odb") : javax.persistence.PersistenceException: No Persistence provider for EntityManager I'm using the latest ObjectDB 2.6.2.b03. It is integrated in our target platform. It is noticed that since 2.6.2.b02 there is no more integrated javax.persistence & javax.transaction. #1 2015-06-09 12:20 Hello, I'm developing an Eclipse4 RCP application which uses ObjectDB and have the following problem ...

Missing Data on Retrieval (0, null values)

I try  to export all Objects in an Flatfile-Hiearchy (.csv). But only the first exported Table contains all necessary Data. Most of the others  contains all  Object-Rows', but most Values of the Columns are missing. With a  em.clear() inside the Loop, all tables are exported correctly but the Enity-Keys do not match. I can't get the point - what am i doing wrong?   emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory(dbFile); em = emf.createEntityManager(); #1 2016-04-13 07:07 I try  to export all Objects in an Flatfile-Hiearchy (.csv). Mysterious "Attempt to persist a reference to a non managed instance" error

I've been working with ObjectDB for the past several months, and it's behaved pretty much as expected. I made a few modifications to a working set of classes today, and it's started throwing exceptions at commit time. I've stripped it down to a  set of files that seem to be of trivial complexity, but it's still failing. It involves two entities, Index and Ostrich. The thing to note is that the Index structure is recursive through maps; but that's never caused any problem for me in the past. #1 2011-06-08 20:51 I've been working with ObjectDB for the past several months, and it's behaved pretty much as expected. Problems down-casting in WHERE clause

I have a family of related types, like this: @Entity class Base { String val1; String val2; }; @Entity class Derived1 extends Base { String val3; }; @Entity class Derived2 extends Base { String val4; };  I'm trying to implement a query which will return all Base objects which have a given string within any of their String-typed fields.  The query I'm using looks somewhat like this: #1 2013-07-07 03:04 I have a family of related types, like this: @ Entity class Base { String val1 ...
