ObjectDB 2 JDO Manual

The new ObjectDB Manual describes how to use ObjectDB 2 with JPA. An additional manual that focuses on using ObjectDB 2 with JDO can help JDO users. But since writing a new manual and then maintaining two similar manuals, one for JPA and the other for JDO requires sufficient effort, this will be done only if there is sufficient demand.   Documentation Version: 1.04 Priority: Normal Status: Active Replies: 8 Type:  Documentation ...

Speed of queries that return many objects

Hi, I have a DB of 146MB - with 1_000_000 elements. Loading the contents (objectDB query in java) takes about 10sec. I am using a recent MacBook (SSD blabla - disk I/O speed is about 400MB/sec - according to blackMagicTest app for mac) - so I was expecting the query to take less than one sec (146/400 = 0.35sec.. + some overhead). I was wondering if this kind of speed is "normal", or if this is something I should investigate. Thanks EKK #1 2015-08-29 21:10 Hi, I have a DB of 146MB - with 1_000_000 elements. problem with lazy loading - unittest project attached

hi, i'm still testing objectdb together with spring-data-jpa. i made a test which should simulate 4 requests 1. save entity 2. read an existing entity, add onetomany relation 3. read an existing entity, add another onetomany relation 4. read entity, get relations. i have the feeling this is not the optional way to test this, because of the differnt transaction behavior. the test is not transactional, but the spring repository methods are. #1 2011-05-04 05:32 hi, i'm still testing objectdb together with spring-data-jpa. i made a test which should simu ...

java.lang.NullPointerException when using ORDER BY

We are using ObjectDB 2.5.1_04. The following query causes an internal null pointer exception: SELECT r FROM RecordingMetaData AS r WHERE ((r.mapToCli != '192.168.10.200:9085' AND r.callDirection == 0)) ORDER BY r.startDateTime DESC If we remove the ORDER BY part, the query completes OK and returns the records from the DB, but obviously not in order. Here is the stack trace of the exception: #1 2014-02-20 00:59 We are using ObjectDB 2.5.1_04. The following query causes an internal null pointer exception: SELECT ...

Saving custom list which implements java.util.List fails

Hi, I'm evaluating ObjectDB for storing Objects modeled with Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) and encountered the following problem:   I took the Point-example from the tutorial and added a list-attribute which is declared as java.util.List but the actual Object MyList just extends ArrayList as shown below. #1 2013-03-27 13:39 Hi, I'm evaluating ObjectDB for storing Objects modeled with Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) ...

UserException: Invalid configuration in 'internal' - Check permissions

Hi all,   I have a master/slave code so that each slave reads a subset of points of the same database. ObjectDB entities do not allow serialization and so I have sent, to each slave, the file path. With such information I have tried to create an entityManager, in each slave, as follows: EntityManagerFatory entityManagerFactory = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory(filePath); EntityManager = entityManagerFactory.createEntityManager(); However I get the following error #1 2014-07-01 18:39 Hi all,   I have a master/slave code so that each slave reads a subset of points of the same ...
