InternalError on query of empty database

Hi, I have reasons for sometimes trying to query the database before anything has been created. The problem is the database throws a InternalException when that happens. Is it possible to throw something that identifies that that is the issue, say something like "MissingSchemaException", ie something that clearly shows its because no data of that type has been added? This just makes the exception catching cleaner. Thought thinking about it, it probably needs to be a JPA exception, maybe something like javax.persistence.EntityNotFoundException? ... java.lang.NullPointerException: null java.lang.NullPointerException at com.objectdb.o.SQI.Uo(SQI.java:168) at ...

A lot of ENT and SIV instances which are not cleared by GC

Hello. I have a JSF application (Glassfish 4, Java 8, ObjectDB 2.6.0). In some time the heap is getting 95% full with java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded.  The first screenshot from VisualVM shows used heap during a 1000 requests stress test. The second shows that after this test there are many com.objectdb.o.ENT and com.objectdb.o.SIV instances. Why isn't it cleaned? I use simple EJB managers containing EntityManagers. auto-generated uuid fields

Hello, we're porting a JDO application to ObjectDB which uses uuid-hex generated values. However the page on generated values in your JPA tutorial only mentions numeric generated values, and when we try to use it the error message seems to imply that auto-generating strings isn't supported. Could you confirm whether this is the case? If so it seems an odd omission, given that it's part of both the JPA and JDO standards (JPA Generator.UUID_HEX and JDO value-strategy="uuid-hex") and that the Java language itself supports it (java.util.UUID). ... we will have to check that nothing depends on the ID being null until the object graph is persisted. ...
