Server vs embedded mode in multi-instance scenario

We are creating a web app that will have multiple different clients, each on their own EC2 instance(s). The clients do not need to share any data, so each could have its own ObjectDB. Clients have a user base of about 2,000 to 60,000 users that could possibly be using their application at any given time (100k absolute maximum). We will probably have multiple instances per client for availability concerns as well as auto scale during peak usage, at least for the benefit of our web application if not for objectdb.... max = "100" /> <data path = "$objectdb/db" /> <embedded-server enabled ... connection url should be "objectdb://host:port/" with no path. host could be localhost . In order to have a port ...

Strange Error with Criteria API and Sorting

We're creating a simple selection (distinct) including an order clause. When watching the created criteria in debugger we get the correct expression: SELECT DISTINCT $1 FROM MyEntity $1 WHERE ((TYPE($1)=class test.MyEntity)) ORDER BY UPPER($1.name) DESC You can see that in the order by there's correctly a "$1" var. Running this (without the type thing before) in the explorer correctly returns the sorted results. However, running this with the criteria API produces this error: ... You can fix this specific query by using Path (which is not a separate variable) instead of Join : //final ... ?> otherJoin = root.join("other"); final Path<Object> otherJoin = root. get ( "other" ) ; ...

Fantom

Hi, so far I've been able to get ObjectDb to persist objects from many JVM languages, eg.: Java/Groovy/Scala/Kotlin. However, I can't seem to get Fantom to work. Anyone tried this yet? Dave     ... Issue with DISTINCT Select

It is getting more and more frustrating :( We've introduced distinct select instead of regular selection in our code (no changes else) and suddenly receive invalid identifiers in queries exceptions in various queries. internal object DB locking in an embedded multi threaded application

Hi, we are using Embeded objectDB 2.4.4_06 in a highly multithreaded concurrent manner and we have noticed a performance problem in our application that seems to be attributed to ObjectDb's internal locking. When profiling our app in JVisualVm we notice a large number of threads are blocked and when doing a threaddump we notice that they are all blocked in the same place: ... enabled = "true" sync = "false" path = "." max = "128mb" /> <recording enabled = "false" sync = "false" path = "." mode = "write" /> <locking version-check ...

Explorer in 2.3

First, the new Explorer in ObjectDB is fantastic! This is exactly what we've needed - an easy way to do ad-hoc JPQL queries and navigate through the results and even make small changes to primitive data and Strings. After playing with it for a while, here is a list of additional features I'd love to have: 1. Export of selected data: a. Simple - Select a range of cells or a column header and copy text to the clipboard or save to a file (csv, html, etc..). (There appear to be copy menu options, but I cannot get them to work.) ... (remote) database puts the full URL into the Database Path field, when it should be only the database path. This causes an error on starting Explorer.exe. Same when opening ...
