Database connection url

I'd like to run a database called db1.odb on port 6136, and simultaneously open it in the explorer. I left the conf file set as: <server> <connection port="6136" max="100" /> <data path="$objectdb/db-files" /> </server> However, I'm not sure about the connection url for the code, and for the explorer. I tried this: Transactor.emf = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory ("$objectdb/db1.odb");... = "6136" max = "100" /> <data path = "$objectdb/db-files" /> </server > ...

Acces the same DB with multiple users

I developed an application that needs 3 computers to acces the same odb file, unfortunately when I acces this file from any other computer than the one where I first generated the file (I'm using the server.exe) my queries result in nothing? Must something be changed to the config? Or should this work with no changes to the included config file? Thanks for the help, Marvin   ... as you are accessing the same server and exactly the same path on that server from all the computers it is expected to work. ...

Resource leaking via a rogue Shutdown Hook

A shutdown hook is registered upon ObjectDB initialisation. The hook is loaded from the web application's class loader. When the application is stopped (not the server, just the application) the hook is not cleared. This leads to web-application class-loader leak, that results in huge resource loss, and eventually in an OOME. Offending class: com.objectdb.o.MSF$1 (anonymous subclass of java.lang.Thread) Name of the Thread/Hook: ODB-FileCloser Thread is registered from the com.objectdb.o.MSF static initialiser (<clinit>). ... The thing to look for is the fact, that the only path to a garbage collection root after stopping is via the hook. ...
