A lot of ENT and SIV instances which are not cleared by GC

Hello. I have a JSF application (Glassfish 4, Java 8, ObjectDB 2.6.0). In some time the heap is getting 95% full with java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded.  The first screenshot from VisualVM shows used heap during a 1000 requests stress test. The second shows that after this test there are many com.objectdb.o.ENT and com.objectdb.o.SIV instances. Why isn't it cleaned? I use simple EJB managers containing EntityManagers. On bean's PreDestroy and in servlet's i make entityManager.clear(); #1 2015-02-21 17:33 Hello. I have a JSF application (Glassfish 4, Java 8, ObjectDB 2.6.0). objectdb.home for client/server

Currently, we do need to manually setup the objectdb.home property eventhough we're working on client/server mode. However, without setting this in our client, he complains about the missing objectdb.conf. Why is this required? Can't the server deliver it? Most of the time we do not even know where our object db home is located at as we might have multiple server instances running on multiple machines so all we do really need to supply should be the server connection url and no objectdb.home..   Alex ... learn about the default ObjectDB home directory and the path to the configuration. I am closing this issue - since it is not a ...

Project runs in Eclipse but not when exported to runnable jar

I have a simple project that performs some stability calculations and displays a scale drawing of a model glider. I decided to use objectdb as a way to persist the values for later retrieval. The project works perfectly well when run from eclipse but nothing opens when I export to a runnable jar and execute that. No windows open, there are no eror dialogs etc. Commenting out all the code related to object db resolves the issue and the project runs, so I'm fairly sure it is something I've done relating to objectdb. ... and objectdb.jar are included in the build path, and are present in the compiled file, as is the test GliderCalcs.odb file ...

Is it ok to put list or map of embeddable objects in entity ?

Hi, Is it ok to put list or map of embeddable objects in entity? I mean, for example : @Entity public class Entity_A {     (...)     @Embedded     List<Class_B> bList;     @Embedded     Map<String, Class_C> cMap; (...) } where Class_B and Class_C are annotated as @Embeddable ? In the examples, there is only situation where there is one single instance of embeddable class in entity. And what happens if I do operation like : ... for persistence objects and metadata, where I put path to jar file containing these classes, but that doesn't help. ...
