Enhanced classes problem

Hell, we have problem with the OEM enhancement licencing. When we used runtime licencing using machine activation code, everything works fine. But when we enhanced our classes with OEM licence, following errors occurs: ... disable this lazy loading by setting the following system property. In your code before connecting to ObjectDB: ...

Issue with DISTINCT Select

It is getting more and more frustrating :( We've introduced distinct select instead of regular selection in our code (no changes else) and suddenly receive invalid identifiers in queries exceptions in various queries. Here's the stacktrace: ... well which is supposed to work fine.. (i.e. sorting by the property of an embedded entity within a map etc.) Hrm not sure whether ...

Left join fetch behaviour doesn't retrieve children?

Hello support, I'm a little bit confused about a left join fetch behaviour. In this test case, i try to fetch my 3 children using a left join fetch. But my collection is null after closing the em. It was expected to be fetched before closing the em, no ? In fact, that is the objective of the fetch purpose (i guess ?). #1 2015-06-07 07:34 Hello, I'm a little bit confused about a left join fetch behaviour. In this test case, i try ...

ODB tries to create log files inside its own jar on Win7

I sent a demo of an app I've been developing on Linux to some Windows 7 users, and they were unable to run it.  The stack traces they sent me indicated that ODB was trying to create its log files inside objectdb.jar, which was inside the executable jar packaged by Eclipse.  Here's the end of the stack trace: ... that explicitly setting the "objectdb.home" system property to the current directory fixes this problem on Win7.  That seems ...

Eclipse plugin problem (using ObjectDB as a separate bundle)

Hello support, I have seen multiple attempts to correct similar errors as in the title above - the latest in the 2.2.8.01 release of objectDb. However I still get this error.   Here is my scenario (Groovy 1.8 and Eclipse 3.6) used. I have a com.epimss.lab.data.toxicology.TherapeauticDrugScreenRqst. Nested in this class are the following two classes: com.epimss.lab.data.misc.OtherRqst and com.epimss.lab.data.misc.RequestDateAndNumber. #1 2011-07-11 15:49 Hello support, I have seen multiple attempts to correct similar errors as in the title above - the latest ...

Replicated cluster recovery

If I create a replicated database cluster as per http://www.objectdb.com/java/jpa/tool/replication what is the behaviour of the master database after a failure? For example, say I have MasterDB and SlaveDB in the cluster. If MasterDB goes offline the application will automatically switch to SlaveDB. When MasterDB comes back online it will have missed any activity that occured during the downtime. #1 2011-04-08 16:07 If I create a replicated database cluster as per http://www.objectdb.com/java/jpa/tool/replication what is the be ...

Optimistic locking: prevent version increment on entity collection attribute

Hello, I have an entity E with an attribute which is a collection of entities (one to many relationship) with an optimistic locking strategy supported by a version field. Is it possible to prevent the increment of the version of entity E when entities are added to or removed from the collection? Something like the equivalent of @OptimisticLock(excluded=true) in Hibernate? Thanks, Farid ... Finally I have tested it with the no-detached property set to true (System.setProperty("objectdb.temp.no-detach", "true");). ...

File lock exception on odb$

Not sure if this is an objectdb issue or not but I thought I'd raise it just in case. We had a server failure which caused an unexpected reboot. As a result, the application services which use objectdb were not shutdown properly which in turn meant we had several odb$ files left behind. I had assumed that objectdb would reprocess these when the services restarted but instead we got the exception below. ... the path in persistence.xml is : <property name="javax.persistence.jdbc.url" ...

Occasionally slow requests in load testing

We are running load testing against objectdb version 2.3.7_18. The performance is generally OK, however there are quite a few "spikes" in the performance where we are getting a lot of very slow response times from the DB, around 10 - 15 seconds. Looking at the DB server process with AppDynamics we can see that most of the requests get stuck in one of 2 places: com.objectdb.o.PGC:w: line number 232 com.objectdb.o.LFL:U: line number 1068 Please see the attached callgraph examples for full stack trace examples. ... - starting build 2.3.7_21 you can try setting a system property,  objectdb.temp.no-resize-clear , to true - to enforce a ...
