500Mb ObjectDb database opening issue

Hi, I have observed that 500 Mb objectDb database opening time is very slow (~3 seconds) for following code m_EntityMgrFactory = Persistence.createEntityManagerFactory( "objectdb:" + aFilename ); m_EntityManager = m_EntityMgrFactory.createEntityManager(); Does exist any way to speed-up open time for big databases? Definitely, it's too long for 500 Mb database! ... <enhancement agent="false" reflection="warning" />   <cache ref="weak" level2="64mb" ... <enhancement agent="false" reflection="warning" />   <cache ref="weak" level2="64mb" ...

Insertion Speed Rate and Batch Load

1. I got about 10K inserts / second, is it normal? I would expect more than that, like close to 100K/second. I can definitely do 80K inserts/seconds on Oracle with batch insert on table with one primary key. 2. Is batch update/insert operation supported? I attached the files. ... > <enhancement agent = "true" reflection = "warning" /> <cache ref = "weak" ...

Blocked by find

I have a container object which wraps an objectdb database. There is a "putIfAbsent(String id, Object obj)" method which is synchronized and attempts to load an object by id using the EntityManager "find" method. If nothing is returned from the db the passed object is persisted to the db. I have 5 threads which use this method. In a run today one of the threads seems to have got stuck somewhere in the find. The thread dump looks like: Bug Version: Priority: High Status: Fixed Replies: 23 Type:  Bug ...

Optimistic locking: prevent version increment on entity collection attribute

Hello, I have an entity E with an attribute which is a collection of entities (one to many relationship) with an optimistic locking strategy supported by a version field. Is it possible to prevent the increment of the version of entity E when entities are added to or removed from the collection? Something like the equivalent of @OptimisticLock(excluded=true) in Hibernate? Thanks, Farid #1 2013-04-30 15:49 Hello, I have an entity E with an attribute which is a collection of entities (one to many relationship) ...
