Attempt to refresh a non managed entity object (error 635)

Just ran into a problem that I've not seen in 10 years of running ObjectDb: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException Attempt to refresh a non managed entity object (error 635) Nothing changed in my code, but I'm wondering if there is a problem with the config file, and /or my recent experiments with Intellij's JPA database explorer, which required me to use a JPA persistence.xml configuration file. (I was able to use to run objectdb queries from inside Intellij). #1 2012-05-17 18:03 Just ran into a problem that I've not seen in 10 years of running ObjectDb: java.lang.IllegalArgumentEx ...

"No Persistence provider for EntityManager" in OSGI bundle.

Good Day. I seem to have gotten a bit stuck while developing an OSGI bundle with ObjectDB. Essentially it builds an OSGI bundle with an embedded instance of ObjectDB and then tries to deploy the bundle inside an application running an embedded OSGI server (Apache Felix). The STARTING phase seems to fail due to the below error. #1 2011-11-10 14:31 Good Day. I seem to have gotten a bit stuck while developing an OSGI bundle with ObjectDB. Essent ...

Doctor - high memory usage

Hi, Is it possible to reduce Doctor memory usage? Right now for recovering 67MB database, I need to set heap space to at least 450MB. Even then whole process takes ages. Optimal setting for this database is about 650MB. It's about ten times of size of database. #1 2011-03-22 22:08 Hi, Is it possible to reduce Doctor memory usage? Detaching objects after JOIN FETCH

Hi, I have a question about detaching objects after issuing query with JOIN FETCH. Let's say I have two classes: public class A { @ManyToOne B bClass } public class B { @OneToMany(fetch = FetchType.LAZY, cascade = CascadeType.ALL) List<A> aClasses; } Now, I want to fetch all B classes with all A classes skipping lazy loading: ... B (this is the case in my code), detached objects from relation are not visible. I should add mappedBy in the example above, ...

First query takes 4+ minutes to complete

Hi, we are evaluating ObjectDB 2.5.1_04 in embedded mode hoping to replace SQLite in our application. We observed that in our case it takes on average more than 4 minutes to complete the first SELECT query that we run on the DB which contains about 320,000 records of a single type of object. SQLite in comparison responds within few seconds on average with the same number of records. We hope to receive your recommendation on how to improve this result with this post.   Test System #1 2013-08-05 05:44 Hi, we are evaluating ObjectDB 2.5.1_04 in embedded mode hoping to replace SQLite in our application. ...
