"where in" query

Is it possible to run a query selecting values that exist in a provided list? e.g. something like: SELECT u FROM User m WHERE u.username IN ('test_user','anotheruser') I've tried various combinations of this including passing the list as a named parameter but without any joy. The only similar examples I can find in the docs involve a join query - but my list isn't in the database - and the MEMBER OF operator doesn't seem to do what I want (although I may be using it incorrectly! #1 2011-06-23 08:12 Is it possible to run a query selecting values that exist in a provided list? e.g. something like: SELEC ...

Trouble viewing db in Explorer.

I am having trouble with the Explorer.  I can open the db just fine. I can open a few simple extents and view/navigate fine also.  The problem occurs when I view the more complex extents. The Explorer will not repaint the right pane.  I drag off screen to force repaint and get(right pane):     (column1)=[n]     (column2)="Exception"     (column3)= "com.***.businessObjects.*myClass*.__odbSetTracker(Lcom/objectdb/spi/Tracker;)V" #1 2012-06-07 17:46 I am having trouble with the Explorer.  I can open the db just fine. Drop the entire database, Change the schema

I am trying to port and example app to ObjectDb. As part of the tests I drop the database and reload it with the new schema automatically between test cycles. Is there a simple way to do this with ObjectDb, or is the only way to delete the database file everytime? Thanks #1 2011-08-24 12:19 I am trying to port and example app to ObjectDb. how explorer queries work

i'm curious as to how the explorer is able to execute queries when its obviously not aware of the object model that i built. the reason is because i have an application where i want to be able to execute somewhat generalized queries and i won't know what classes are in the object model ahead of time. this is especially curious to me in client-server mode since the .jar with the object model classes is on the server side, not the client side where explorer is running. #1 2012-05-02 16:09 i'm curious as to how the explorer is able to execute queries when its obviously not aware of the object mode ...

Distinct Error

Hi, I'm getting a NullPointerException thrown on using DISTINCT. The query works fine if I don't have distinct. However thats NOT a solution as the code generating the query is used for other queries, and some of them do need the distinct. Its only a simple query: QUERY: SELECT DISTINCT $1 FROM CDI $1 JOIN $1.attributeList $2 WHERE ($2.name='firstname') AND ($2.valueAsString='Alex') #1 2011-07-21 01:32 Hi, I'm getting a NullPointerException thrown on using DISTINCT. Use temporary files to enable very large transactions

We have transactions in which many objects are created. These objects are no longer needed in the current transaction after creation. Unfortunately, we will receive an OutOfMemory exception because the objects are kept in the first level cache of ObjectDB. In the forum thread http://www.objectdb.com/database/forum/921 on post #4 you wrote, that ObjectDB should support very large transactions in further version. Can you implement it that ObjectDB used temporary files? Bug Version: 1.04 Priority: Critical Status: Fixed Replies: 27 Type:  Bug ...
