List of Enum Values in an entity

Hello, I'm new with ObjectDB and just tried out the example in the Eclipse/Glassfish tutorial (http://www.objectdb.com/tutorial/jpa/eclipse/ee). After testing was successful, I extended the Guest class with an ArrayList of Enums: private ArrayList<GuestFlag> flags; The flags are stored into the database without any problem. In the explorer I can see that it is stored as array of Strings. #1 2013-11-07 14:16 Hello, I'm new with ObjectDB and just tried out the example in the Eclipse/Glassfish tutorial ( http ...

JPA vs JDO - which is more efficient for OneToMany queries?

I'm curious about the trade offs between JDO and JPA. Seems to me that JDO will perform better and be statically typed. For example: Assume there are Customers and Orders. #1 2010-11-09 12:04 I'm curious about the trade offs between JDO and JPA. Seems to me that JDO will perform better and be statically ...

Eclipse plugin problem (using ObjectDB as a separate bundle)

Hello support, I have seen multiple attempts to correct similar errors as in the title above - the latest in the 2.2.8.01 release of objectDb. However I still get this error.   Here is my scenario (Groovy 1.8 and Eclipse 3.6) used. I have a com.epimss.lab.data.toxicology.TherapeauticDrugScreenRqst. Nested in this class are the following two classes: com.epimss.lab.data.misc.OtherRqst and com.epimss.lab.data.misc.RequestDateAndNumber. #1 2011-07-11 15:49 Hello support, I have seen multiple attempts to correct similar errors as in the title above - the latest ...

Conflicting modifiers .... (javax.persistence.Id, javax.persistence.ManyToOne)

I have two classes a Container type class and another class that is 'contained' by that class. The contained class, CompoundKeyMapItem, represents an alternate implementation of an object held in a Map, and uses a Compound Primary Key. The contained class therefore uses an @IdClass. This all works fine on Eclipselink. However when I try and run this in ObjectDb I get the following error; #1 2011-09-23 10:36 I have two classes a Container type class and another class that is 'contained' by that class. The co ...

Mapped (Inverse) LAZY @OneToMany vs. Unmapped LAZY @OneToMany

In the code example below (also attached) I would like to understand why I am able to print to console a lazy @OneToMany mapped field after a finding entity manager closes. There is a switch DO_VIEW_BEFORE_CLOSE, and when it is true the fields are accessed and output before the finding entity manager closes and as expected both a mapped @OneToMany list and an unmapped @OneToMany list are viewable: a.listA_mapped:[{A}[4]"ownedElement1", {A}[5]"ownedElement2"] a.listB_unmapped:[{B}[2]"b1", {B}[3]"b2"] #1 2012-03-14 01:37 In the code example below (also attached) I would like to understand why I am able to print to console a lazy @On ...
